Throwback 60030 Classic Vintage Design Movie Theater Fresh Kettle Style Popcorn Maker Machine with Popcorn Scoop, Measuring Cup, and Oil Spoon, Red

My husband got this for me for last Christmas (2019) and we have used it a lot! Every one loves it when we make fresh popcorn- kids and adults alike! We find that the white popcorn varieties are a little more tender, but we have used both and they both pop up well. You just put the oil and popcorn in the hopper and turn it on and a few minutes later you have yummy movie style popcorn. We purchased the plastic red and white, square popcorn tubs and they fit great inside although you do have to hold the door closed, but the tub catches most of the popcorn and makes clean up easier.

I just received this and have used it twice already. As described, the non-pop rate is very low. Some kernels pop out when you turn it on, but I just put them back in the popper. The measuring tray yields a large bowl of popcorn. It seems to me that the kernels pop larger than they do in my other (new) popper, very light and fluffy, and there aren't any half popped kernels which was also a problem with my other machine. Looks good, too. I'm very pleased.

After a month of normal use (weekends), the motor stopped working. We purchased at the end of August. By the end of September, the light would come on, but the motor was done. It's a cheap small appliance, so we generally don't expect to get a heck of a long life span, but we were expecting it would last longer than a month.The top also gets extremely hot. Oven mitts are recommended when handling--which you will need to do. Because of the small capacity, each batch it makes is only about enough for one adult.

Easy to use and great to have handy when you have the munchies (popcorn is betterthan a multitude of modern snack so-called "foods"), however it does tend to eject a couple dozen unpopped kernels out of every batch. I just make a game out of tossing them back in through the spot, like Wack-A-Mole. Sometimes tilting the whole device backward by 10° - 45° helps contain them. Whether this was a factor in mime's eventual yet swift malfunction, though, I still don't think so. Literally the very day after I gave this device a five-star rating, the next time I used this popcorn maker, the rising popcorn inside jammed against the sharp rim where the red plastic meets the alluminum cannisters; this blockage created a backflow of hot air and in an instant my machine itself started smoking (not the popcorn) and the airflow ceased, even though the heating element clearly still works. I think it melted a plastic fan inside, but I haven't taken it apart to investigate because I'm still within 90 days of my purchase date and am looking into warranty stuff first. I'm disappointed in this seemingly freak accident because I really enjoyed having this for the short time that I did. Made dozens of batches with it. I was trying to help my two best friends break their chemical-y/preservative-y potato-chip addiction, and for the most part my devious culinary strategy was working. Just add a light sprinkle of cayenne pepper to popcorn.... 😋🥰 As soon as I sort this mechanical/warrantee issue out one way or another, I'm making CINNEMON kettle-corn. 😍 Oh yeah..... And, I forget what exactly, but some of the informations for proper use on the box and in the included instruction pamphlet was self-contradiction. Not a big deal, like which part CLEARLY ISN'T dishwashwr-safe, etc, just slightly amusing that stuff like that actually makes it into the final commercial printing.

This is my second popcorn machine in two months this one works excellent The one before this was a different brand and of course I gave it a bad review and I was scared to buy another machine buy a different brand but I love popcorn and luckily I found this one and it works great worth every penny

This works great. Easy to use and is fast. Does make messy but nothing you can clean up. This machine gets hot and the plastic unit gets hot to. Easy hand wash. The cord is to short so it limits where you can plus it in unless you have an extension cord. Melt butter well on top

Does what is expected of an air popper. Super easy to use and clean. Pops most of the kernels. Use an oversized bowl and only small portion of unopposed kernels as when they pop they shoot out quickly. Great addition to our kitchen.

Starts spitting out un popped kernels as soon as you throw them in the hopper. I thought maybe the first time I overloaded it, but does the same no matter the amount.A big disapointment, poorly engineered
