Great and effective trap, easy to use.
Caught gopher within 2 hours after learning how to properly use the trap. Here are some tips. When you find an active hole, digital it out enough to lay the trap somewhat flat inside, so that the mouth of the trap lines up with the hole. I put peanuts in the back of the trap. For those of you complaining that the gopher fills it with dirt, its because you are not blocking out all the light. Its best to cover the trap with loose soil/dirt as to make sure the light is blocked out completely. If you are unsure, also throw a bucket over it too. There must be NO LIGHT or it will get filled with dirt.Do some research on how to properly trap gophers. Blindly setting a trap with no knowledge will not get you good results. If you do it right, this trap works every time.Although it doesnt always kill them quickly. Sometimes they suffer for hours. FYI.

It absolutely works. Look at my other reviews I don't lie
Can't believe after all the money spent on gogher/mole products nothing worked. I have 8 of those ground buzzers in a 10' square garden. One on each corner and side. Didn't work. I then tried expensive smoke bombs. Let off about 40 of those. Didn't work. I then tried poisoned food bait. Didn't work. I put rubber gloves on before I opened trap, then put peanut butter in the back hole, on wall. I dug out the mound enough to fit in ground like picture shown. Covered surrounded the edges with dirt and also(not mentioned anywhere in directions) covered back hole cause it does say block out all light. So I believe the hole is to apply peanut butter. That's in directions. Overnight, first night, HE DEADšŖššš. It is such a relief knowing I got em. Excellent product. I recommend it

Works every time!! 22 gophers caught in 9 days
Iām not sure why people are leaving negative reviews. They must not know how to use this trap. It is the easiest trap Iāve ever used and I have caught a gopher every time I set it. I almost didnāt buy this because of the negative reviews. I have tried every method other than poison, to no avail. I have used this trap for 9 days and caught 21 gophers on my property. If you follow the directions (which are straightforward and simple) you will catch a gopher every time. Best trap Iāve ever used. Some people want to hate on a product when in the end it is user error, in my opinion.

Mole/Gopher trap
Very simple and easy to use. I guess I'm used to the old fashion square traps but this seemed to work okay. I wasn't sure exactly what I had but got him after a week with the trap in the ground.

Very small trap
I out my hand in the photo for reference. These were just delivered. I feel like it may be falsely advertised. I canāt decide whether to try it at all or just return it while I can. This home is less than 3 inches across and less than 2 inches tall. How in the heck will an adult groundhog get its head in that hole? Very disappointed at the unboxing. At this point I am feeling I wasted my money.

UPDATED: Excellent design and value, but not for squirrels
I bought 3 of these to help cull the crazy squirrel population in my yard. Might work well for smaller rodents, but not for squirrels. Setting was dead easy and just threw some bird seed in the back of the trap. Construction was solid. I set all 3 near my bird feeders last night and woke up to one with a wriggling squirrel in it - he was too big to fit in and the snap was not sufficient to terminate . Not a pleasant site. Took the mallet to it and wound up throwing the trap and rodent away. Will do the same with the other two. @Gonzo, make a larger one for squirrels and you'll have a winner. If you are looking to eliminate a squirrel problem:I started 2 years ago with a pair ofhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K6JKVK4/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Damn heavy duty. They worked great, but are very tough to set and did rust a bit. Still work well. Like all of these traps, tie them down! If you snag a rodent and do not remove right away, predators will take the meal and trap away. Fox recently carried the trap (managed to chew through the string tying it down) and left it in the street with half a squirrel. Truck ran over it and good-bye trap.I wanted something that was easier to set and tried:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C4J2T9D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1Nice construction and much easier to set than the one above, but it went 6 months without a nibble - in the same area that the WCS trap was set. Then about 2 weeks ago, it disappeared. Same day as the one above. I suspect the fox took that one further away as it is much lighter.I am left with 1 WCS tube trap and 2 Gonzo. I have just ordered 2 WCS 'Shorty' (directly from them, cheaper than amazon). Using wire instead of string to tie them down.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE:Maybe I spoke too soon. Gonzo snapped a squirrel this morning. Smaller rodent than before, but terminated. A little too close for comfort emptying the tube, but I did re-set it.WCS shorty arrived and they are a nice (hopefully) rust-proof black.

BEST trap on the market! 100% success rate
5/5 this is the best method I have tried for catching moles / gophers! Just make sure you set the trap up correctly and it has worked every time for me!! 10/10! (When setting the trap the metal wire inside the hole needs to touch the bottom so it can catch the gopher) see image! Once I found this out, it was a 100% success rate! Caught 6 gophers so far!I can only think the negative reviews do not know how to set the trap properly cause this has worked like a charm!
