Highly recommend for fans of deck builder games
Love this game, it works best with 2-3 players, but still great fun with 4 or even 1. Every game is a bit different and it doesn't get boring, and everyone I've played it with has enjoyed playing it. The unbalanced mechanics of the 4 different 'factions' (Star Empire, Blobs, Trade Federation and Machine Cult) add a great bit of strategy to the game. The solo game isn't as fun as with others as the 'Challenge Cards' are quite fiddly to play against, but its great there is that possibility. There are new scoring cards included in this version which are a big upgrade to those included in Original and Colony Wars, and they do work but its better to use a score counting app on someone's phone, as they can also be quite fiddly.I play the original version online but Frontiers feels more refined, with some more powerful and exciting cards and all cards feeling important and worth getting. Will probably get Colony Wars as well sometime, but feel this is a great starting point for Star Realms.Would highly recommend, this is a real gem.

Fantastic, 1,2,3 and 4 player!
Brilliant deck building game, it's very easy to learn, very clear as to what each card does and the rules are well written. Really enjoy the theme and artwork and the factions mechanic is great for more strategic play. I've been playing mostly with my 9 year old twins (or just one of them), but also with my partner. The random pull of cards also means that learners or less strategic thinkers have a good chance of winning too. It's best with two, but solo against different sets of bosses is great (boss cards cards included). 3 player can either be only attack your left or have both children gang up on you and get totally destroyed! In a 4 player you play two teams. The range of cards is good, but I'm going to get the rest for more variety as it's become a fam favourite. The box itself just about fits all the cards sleeved although it is a squash (picture). Definitely recommend.

Good solo game
I bought this for solo gaming and I am not disappointed, good challenges with a choice of various levels, (the various levels are in the rule book not on the challenge cards). Takes up about the same amount of table space as a game of patience with a standard card deck. Set up time is 2 minutes or less (that's from picking the box up). Along with the solo variants I have already thought of some ways to generate more challenges, but the challenges will be for me as they are not easy but you can win. Nice looking cards, good theme ( if you like space), and the game duration is long enough for me ( about 5 to 10 minutes) so I can try and get revenge. Really like this game.

One of the best deck builder games out there
Would recommend this game to anyone , great 1v1 or up 4 players or up to 6 with extra decks and expansion . This game gets whipped out every gaming night and everyone enjoys playing it can be a great laugh .Easy to learn to play , good for new players and isn’t a struggle to play with new players and easy & quick to set up .Only thing I can recommend for this though is get card protectors for the whole deck as some cards can be damaged easy and will increase or indefinitely keep the cards in a good state to be used whenever .

A great game for adults and older kids
This is a really engaging game that has a lot going on, but only takes a couple of games to learn all the rules and start to understand what strategies work best. Definitely recommend.

Great game, lots of replayability
I haven't played the game solo yet. This is a well loved and often played game in our household.Good quality components, lots of replayability. I find it interesting that a player can come back from the brink and beat his/her opponent. The game can last longer if you play 'for the experience' rather than the winning.I love the Space theme. It is rated 8.1/10 on one of the board gamers' websites and I can see why. I played the 'original' version after this one and I will recommend the Frontiers version over the 'original'.I bought the 'original' version to have the opportunity to mix both packs. Unfortunately, there is no mark I could find that can differentiate the cards and I gave up on the idea.Frontiers is a great little package, well worth the money.

Great game and easy to learn
A very enjoyable game which i play with my partner. Easy to learn and the cards have clear additonal instructions on them as well. There is a slight luck aspect at the start with what is availability to purchase but the games are often quick to set up and play so we can reel through a few in one sitting. As it's purely deck based, it's very transportable.Lots of expansions available to buy if we choose we want to mix up an already good game.
