The hall light leading to my apartment does not always turn on at night, making keyhole impossible to find.This light - that can be set to activate with motion/darkness - works very well. It is also convenient: removable from base and rechargeable.One minor thing: I do wish the light was a little deeper, because it does not shine on keyhole only around the keyhole base. But this one is on me (more pre-purchase research). Luckily, this device gives plenty of incidental light to see the keyhole. So, all things considered, I am very happy with the purchase.A simple and effective solution for my problem.

I rarely come home after dark but after a few out of town trips, home after midnight I got tired of fumbling to find the keyhole in my doorknob. This solves the problem. I’m very pleased. Seems like good quality and should last for years. Good value for so little cost and for peace of mind

Just installed the motion detector and super easy. Too bad that appropriate two screws not include for a dollar more.I ended up using two small nails l had that the nail head could rest in the indentation of the plate. That is key, make sure the screws heads fit flush with the plate or else the plate will not fit at all.I will update reviews as I start using it. Also, use a good Durrell battery. Replacing battery easy just slide the detector up ^. Replace with single AA.Overall, if this product works as advertised it will be a good product for the price.Update: been using this Keyhole Motion Detector for a few days now and it work very well.It appears to be stable, bright enough, and works as advertised.I would suggest purchasing this product if you need a Keyhole Motion Detector or a Motion detector for closet, hallways, etc…Updated Reviews:Motion Detector working just great now for over a month. This light works quite nicely where I mounted it about 2 inches above my deadbolt (which is above the door knife) and after dark (it doesn't come on in the daytime) if I reach for the knob or bring my hand with the key to the deadbolt lick it turns on practically instantly. It has more than enough light to find the keyhole BUT a couple of times it turned off after maybe 5 seconds then there's a delay before it will activate again. Mostly its stayed on long enough to get in my door BUT BE AWARE that if you are digging in a purse or pocket for keys it's going to time out on you. So just get your keys out before you approach the door. But overall, since I do get my keys out and I can just walk up to the door, stick my hand towards the locks and the light comes on I'm very pleased as it works so much better than finding the keyhole by the Braille method.One drawback was the double sided tape stuck to the light but wouldn't stick to my freshly painted door so mounting it got delayed... I went and got a tube of adhesive and put a little on the door side of the double sided tape and using bit of blue trim tape to hold it in place overnight until it cured, fixed that (but that's why only 4 stars, the attaching tape).If it lasts at least a year, I'll be happy and replace it with a new one (Chinese quality control is always a gamble)

I spray painted mine to match the hardware on the door, a dark brass color, so that it didn’t stand out so much. Honestly it works great. Our porch light is on a timer so if you come home after it goes off for the night it’s really nice that this conveniently goes on. it’s so nicely lights up when you’re looking to unlock your front door in the dark. super simple assemble and works great

I purchased one of these in Dec. 2019. After being knocked off or coming unstuck numerous times it finally bit the dust today. 5 years in pretty impressive so I'm back for another! Nice bright white light and works well.

Works as described, but is very light sensitive. If your door has any external light on it, the light will not turn on.
