GDFStudioTufted Microfiber Sofa with Scroll Arms, Black

Love this couch so much! It arrived in two boxes and while it was challenging I WAS able to get them both up the stairs and assemble this couch alone. I will say the box and common sense both say this is a two person build and that would have made it a quick 15 minute project in my opinion. That being said I got creative and used a coffee table to rest the seat part on while I attached the arm rests and that helped a lot. The only reason I give it a 4 for assembly is because I had a hard time getting the screws under the arm rest to line up and once I did the process was tedious with the provided little tool. The key here is that you have to screw it in at an angle and not straight on like the three screws that’s attach the backrest, once you figure that out it’s easy sailing. Again, or enough of a deterrent to knock off a star on the couch itself and it would have been easier if I’d had help. I am in love! The couch is firm and comfortable and more beautiful in person!

It was impossible for me a average size lady with normal strength to assemble it on my own. My husband had to have me hold one side in place while he beat the other into submission. Lol. That said, once it was assembled its EXACTLY as I expected. Its gorgeous! Its rather firm (cushions can be removed and replaced as the covers unzip) so not super comfy. it came in 2 separate boxes, 2 days apart. I expected that from reviews. Ive now had it nearly 6 months and it looks brand new. Any spills just wipe off, and my dog is both black and white and his fur doesn't show (and wipes off soo easy) he (my dog) definitely has a favorite spot, but the couch shows zero wear from him being on it. Its my favorite piece of furniture because I bought it to look nice. If I bought it for comfort I'd give it 3 stars. Its fine, but I wouldn't say comfy. Its like waiting room furniture... but its in my formal room, so its just perfect! I will buy it new legs at 5-6 inches high as the feet are way to short. Id say im beyond happy with my purchase. I plan on buying another one so I can move the chairs to the bay window. Im just in love after 6 months still! Every day I wake up and drink my coffee in that room because I love it so much! And considering I've decorated my entire home on a single household income (so BUDGET ITEMS!) I'm so pleased.

It’s a beautiful couch. Lovely, rich, emerald green velvet. I’m certainly glad this was the last of the set I assembled so I knew what was happening. Also the couch comes in two separate boxes, most likely two separate shipments as I think it was almost two weeks before I got the second half. And it’s very very very firm. Haven’t tried messing with the cushion filling to see if I can remedy that yet, not much of a bother, and it’s good for the tufting of the arms and back, they likely won’t squish down and get saggy and sloppy looking anytime soon even with it being my main couch. The firm cushions will also prevent the seemingly thin mesh seatbase of the couch from sagging or ripping but that may need reinforcement in a few years.4 stars - one of the holes for the bolts was a full 1/4” off. The top was cut a long oval to, I assume, compensate for variance of the back piece but was so far over to the left I had a crescent moon shaped hole to try and fit a round bolt into. No amount of readjusting and hammering was going to make it fit so I took my dremel and made it bigger. Thankfully, it was the last set of bolts.Also- the cushions do not stay square on the couch but the Velcro strips are pretty flimsy. I will rig that soon enough, but they all skew slightly so the front has a sawtooth pattern.

This couch is lovely in our space and fit our budget nicely. I've seen it's doppelgänger selling for three times as much. It arrived in good time and good shape. However, less than a year into owning this couch my child accidentally damaged a cushion in an a quite visible and irreparable way. I was bummed. I contacted the seller, thinking to myself "I don't have a warranty and I didn't buy this couch at a store where I might be able to get help. I am probably just stuck with this." BUT the seller promptly, and for FREE, sent me a whole new cushion. The couch looks great again and I was so grateful. Normally I wouldn't take the time to review something on Amazon, but I felt I owed it to these folks for having such excellent service and making a nice product at a good price.

Update: unfortunately the new replacement cushion doesn’t match my 4-year-old cushions. It’s notably taller/plumper, brighter and softer. The “velvet” look is there while the old ones lost it even after my steam cleaning efforts. I reached out again to the company to see if I could purchase replacement cushions and they told me I couldn’t. This means I’ll have to buy totally new sofas and it just seems like I could avoid that if they offered replacement cushions for purchase. I’m a little devastated! Next time I’ll go with authentic leather — you truly always get what you pay for.Title says it all! I probably could have assembled this without my husband’s help. It’s lightweight but sturdy for our family of three plus three large dogs. I always always get compliments on these and people are surprised they’re from Amazon. Size is perfect - we purchased two for our large living room but I probably would have gone with one sofa and one loveseat in retrospect, or a sectional. My heart was set on a chesterfield though and this overall has appeased that. Very comfortable and beautiful sofas.A note, our toddler had an accident that I just could not get the smell out of and I messaged the seller asking if I could buy a new cushion. They right away sent me a tracking number and the next week the brand new cushion arrived free of charge! Absolutely unheard of for such helpful service. I truly appreciate it because now I don’t have to deal with a pee couch 😆
