Wondercutter S - dark grey

I bought this to cut plexiglass and several other sheet type materials. Also wanted to use it for cutting foam and paper cut outs. It does work but it is not as easy as the ad makes it look and on anything thicker than 1/8 inch, you need to make multiple passes. It needs to be sharpened but most blades do. Has been useful but not the go-to-tool I expectedThe battery died and is unserviceable. Never worked well to begin with and now, the battery is dead and it no longer works or can be serviced. This is garbage at the price charged. Amazon should not be allowing these people to sell on Amazon. Ripoff

I am a model builder and I often scratch build and work with resin and this is an amazing tool. I really do not know where it has been all of my life. The battery life on the wonder cutter is really impressive. I can go long stretches without charging and that saves me from having to run cords to my work space.

I followed instructions, made necessary adjustments. It would not stay running. Wasn't returnable in the U.S. Never recieved the the proper return label from S.Korea. inquiry at the UPS store found out it would cost over $100.00 to ship it back, with the label I do not have.

The blade can sometimes heat up and melt material. It can also start resonating side to side which makes fine detail work difficult.The wondercutter is very handy for electronics work. It takes solder mask off of circuit boards with ease. It can cut traces quickly and with high precision. It goes through fiberglass quickly, and can make dust fine enough that it wafts away from the workpiece. I recommend a mask, vacuum or working in a fume hood or some other way to avoid breathing the particulates produced by using the knife.I might have listed more cons than pros, but I do like the wondercutter as a tool and would recommend it as a lab tool for people who preform rework on circuit boards.

After waiting for the shipment, it was a great disappointment. Did not cut anything. Tightened the set screw and removed and reinstalled the blade with the same issue. Troubleshooting did not correct the problem. I ended up buying a competing brand which worked out of the box and cost much less money.

I cannot review the product, it was dead from the second I opened it. This is a review of the dental supply company that sent it. Followed instructions exactly. Asked for refund. The dental company (!!!!) that shipped it to me gave a return sheet where I had to pay postage. Cross country $22.25 was cheapest. THis is wrong. Do NOT buy this from a company that seems to specialize in toothpaste.I understand products are sometimes defective, but it should not be on ME to pay to return it.

Quality construction and works as expected, unlike other brands that I have tried. I trust this brand and am happy with this purchase. I do resent the coiled cord and will replace that eventually. The tension and weight of the cord get in the way of using this for delicate work without irritation.

I bought this to use for scratch building model rr structures out of various plastics and wood. I hoped to use it to cut out window and door openings which can be difficult in large models.The cutter requires many passes to cut through the material, often burning the wood and almost always melting the plastic. I expected clean, easy cuts which does not happen. Given the number of passes I have to take, I may as well be using an xacto knife.It also heats up and then quits; after a few minutes it is in time-out mode for as much time as it is usable.I am really disappointed in this product.
