Very impressed by this water filter jug. I've had it about a week. Family of 4. I drink alot of water, so doubt the filter will last 2 months, but maybe it will. Not completely sure how I will know when I need to change the filter. There is a countdown digital timer for 2 months on the jug when you change the filter, but doesn't monitor water quality. I assume ill know by the taste, or failing that just change when the 2 month timer gets to zero. Immediate improvement to my tap water quality- tastes alot better. I obviously cant know whether it is doing all its supposed to do, but I assume it is. Large jug, doesn't need to go in fridge, filtered water in it lasts 2 days, jug only needs washed when you change the filter. Very impressed with the jug, and hopefully filtering all the nasties out of the water. Best value, highest rated jug from online research I did before buying (admittedly only about 20 minutes, using AI, but still).

Great so far. After the initial setup/cleaning it's easy to use and convenient. Water from the tap now tastes great, free of horrible chlorine/fluoride and other chemical taste. Hopefully there will be some health benefits down the line. Easy to clean, but I find filtered/spring water doesn't need to be done as often as unfiltered. As for design it's easy to use, although some water seems to spill out on occasion when filling, but this could be my problem.

Great product with good efficacy and practical design! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high-quality water filter jug that could do the job well with a reasonable price and long-term maintenance cost. I am an extremely health-conscious person. When I was looking for a water filter, there were some essential must-have criteria that I wouldn't compromise with a lower price product. My water filter jug must be able to: 1. Filter fluoride effectively 2. Removing most of the heavy metals and chemicals 3. Replenish with essential minerals, as pure water is bad for the body 4. Efficacy must be proven by reputable 3rd parties This Klar water jug does all of the above with reasonable costs. When I used it for the first time, I could immediately tell that it removed all the weird metallic taste I had previously found in my tap water. The filtered water has a nice natural sweetness thanks to the presence of the minerals, making my coffee, teas, and even babycinos taste much better. My 6-year-old son loves the taste of the water, and he drinks much more water after we use this filter. I think the water is more hydrating too. The design of the jug is pragmatic. The filtered water is nicely separated from the tap water. They wouldn't mix even if you are trying to pour the filtered water out from the jug, while some tap water is still yet to be filtered on top. I like the timer on the jug cover. It reminds me of when the filter needs to be changed. The design also fits nicely with the rest of my kitchen appliances. I'm not putting it in the fridge. However, if you prefer cold water, the rectangular design saves space. Overall, it's an excellent investment for my family's health that won't break the bank!

Trying to live a clean lifestyle in the 21st century is no mean feat. I needed a budget conscious solution to access water free of chlorine, fluoride and other contaminents - enter the klar. First impressions were great - an instant difference in taste and texture, pure and clean. The built in timer is easy to operate, running on a 60 day countdown which is the alleged life of the filter - however, I found mine started to lose efficacy in under half that. The included literature does state mileage will vary with use, and I do drink 8 full glasses a day - however, I would have liked to have made it to the 30 day mark before noticing a drop in quality (no pun intended). As for the construction, glass is always preferred but at this price point to have PFA free plastic is adequate. The door on the top of the lid works well, however the seal of the lid itself could be improved - frequently I have found water leaking from the chamber when filled to capacity, so this is something to watch out for. Given that a reverse osmosis system is an extremely costly investment, and in some cases impractical, the Klar is an excellent filter system at this price point and is incredibly portable. Leaky lid and low filter life aside, it still annhialates rival competitors such as Brita for it's filtration abilities alone. I'm giving it a solid 4 stars, and hope to see an improved version soon.

I've been looking for a water jug for a month and was close to giving up but I read the reviews regarding klar, and I was impressed as they were all very positive. I was also looking for fluoride removal. I was willing to spend more than the cost of klar because I thought the more expensive the better wayer distiller. I was wrong, this distiller is fantastic. It's perfect for two people, water taste so much better, works quick and efficiently. Filters quickly and we pour in out kettle. I'm so pleased the reviews made me buy klar. You were all right, it's the best one out there!

Why did you choose this product over others?: After researching quite a few water jugs I decided on this one as it took out the plastics, pharmaceuticals etc and put back the good stuff. It also held a decent amount of water. This water filter has been excellent. The water tastes completely different now to our horrible tap water and for some reason it tastes 'smooth'. I no longer buy bottled water - which I wanted to get away from due to the plastic - and fill up my own containers. The jug does fit in the fridge but I don't keep mine in there. I have had no issues at all with leaking, spills etc - it has been a great jug. You do have to fill it up in a couple of stages as the filter tank is smaller than the filtered tank - but it isn't a problem as the water filters through very quickly and if it was any larger the jug would be too heavy to lift - so this is not a problem at all. The cartridge lasts a good time - 2 months for me and that is 2 people. We also fill the kettle with it now and the coffee tastes better and no limescale. I'd absolutely buy this jug again.

I bought this water filter jug last October as I wanted a change from the Brita filter I had been using for years. I was happy with the elegant look of the jug and the water quality seemed to be ok. However, I later realised that the filtered water I was using in my kettle was causing a considerable build up of limescale. Only when I bought a new kettle and I noticed the limescale build up after only one week, it became apparent that the new Karl water filter was not filtering the limescale. I therefore decided to do a proper test by descaling the kettle and switching back to the Brita water filter jug. After 3 weeks using the Brita filter, the kettle is still sparkling clean and limescale free this proves that the klar water filter jug is not as good as it looks, it was indeed the cause of the limescale build up in my new kettle! I am now using the Brita filter again, which it is indeed the best one in my opinion.

I have been buying SAKA bottled alkaline water for years and was looking for an alternative to having to buy bottles of water. I came across the KLAR alkaline water jug and I can honestly say it’s been a real joy. I tested it against the SAKA water bottle and it tasted just like the SAKA water. It’s easy to fill , quick tip, put it in the sink and watch to make sure it doesn’t overflow the cartridge section or the water will spill down the handle). I know it sounds silly saying that but it’s so easy to focus on the lid when filling it up instead of paying attention to the filter tank to make sure it doesn’t overflow. The cartridge lasts 2 months and actually counts down the days so you can see when it is about to run out. I bought two extra cartridges which I think were £10.99 for 2, which means I won’t need to buy any till around June. The jug is a good size and holds quite a lot of water. I’m extremely pleased. Well done KLAR. Great value, great product.
