Works great and great customer service! I was hesitant when ordering but has been performing very well. Infact, I have ordered a second one, and will be buying two more. My temp's are down by 7-10°F and my A/C barely kicks on now. The bulb it's self is a PITA to screw in so, I recommend hooking up the bulb to the adapter first and then screw the bulb and adapter into your hood.

There’s no way there’s not a review on the adapters you will need for this. The prongs on both cords are horizontal and not vertical like standard residential outlets in the U.S. And the output cord from the ballast has a port that is very specific to the point where an adapter should just be included. All female ends of cords were accurate.

I bought this ballast as part of a combo that also came with a reflector, almost 4 years ago. Although it was a good deal at the time, you can go on the seller’s website and get these and better name brand ballasts for much cheaper now. You can also get a good deal on a compatible reflector instead of using the bulb adapter that makes the bulb hang down at an odd angle.This light will still pay for itself after your first harvest, but you can get a much better deal on a much bigger selection if you check out the Grower’s House website. They also have great customer service and always answer my questions quickly.

I started running 945 watt CMH bulbs on 1000 watt magnetic ballasts a year ago and it blew Hortilux HPS out of the water.WAY more red and blue from the CMH, but very clear light so it doesn't distort the natural colors in your room.Picked this kit up to replace a 600 watt for vegetative stage and have not been disappointed.Got my digital ballasts in reserve for emergency.
