Highly recommend for kids
I bought this to hang in my basement to put with my giant US map. These maps are great for reference and my 7 year old loves to go up and look at it and see where stuff is. If you have a child that is inquisitive then I highly recommend these maps. We spend a ton of time looking at this map, finding countries, and just trying to learn. If you have the room I would get this.

This map is so big, I could probably start to colonize it.
When the box arrived I was surprised that it did just that, come in a box. Most maps and posters I've bought online come in a cardboard tube. Granted the box is also cardboard, it was very large, if something fell onto it, leaving an imprint on the box, the poster had plenty room inside not to get damaged.It's very detailed. Every continent and ocean are labeled. As far as I can tell every major sea, gulf, bay, etc. The countries not only label capitols but also major cities. I've found the Mississippi, Nile, and Amazon rivers. Didn't see the Vatican City, which is okay, it's tiny and there doesn't seem to be much room left to write 'Vatican City' or 'V.C.' in that part of Italy.The map is HUGE. I don't have to tell you that, you can see the aspects on top in inches. There are very few, very faint marks on there from the printing process, but only on the white border. It's so faint you would have to look for the marks to see them. And why would you be looking at a white boarder for marks when you have a 4ft by 6ft map of our planet?!Seriously, get this map. Educator, student, small town boy born and raised in South Detroit, or just a geography fanatic, this map is for you!
