Not Quite At All
Not quite at all for the price a load rattling sound can hear it in another room over 40ft away.

Great pumps (not silent)
Purchased two Syncra Silent pumps. One 4.0 and one 5.0 as sump return pumps for a 210 gal aquarium. Both are good pumps and well built. Unfortunately, they are not as quiet as I was hoping they would be. They are being used for sump return pumps for a 210g African Cichlid show tank

shipped quick but pump package was ripped up and taped and stickered all over. Feel like it was not new but a return or used. Pump cover was falling off. Pump is working so far so I will keep but a bit worried of it's longevity.

They Sent A Used Pump
I paid for a new pump and they sent a used one. The flow valve control and rubber feet were missing. Old hose was still attached. The box was beat up and torn. Fortunately Amazon replaced it immediately and did not charge for shipping. Unlike some reviews, I found the replacement to be very quiet. I use it in an outdoor fountain so it might sound differently indoors. I'm giving it a two star because they sent a used pump. I've noticed a few other reviews saying the same thing. I'd think they'd learn. The replacement was 5 star.

An unstoppable workhorse.
A great all around pump with endless applications. This pump has been around for a long time and there is a reason it is considered among the best by countless hobbyist and professionals. Great longevity, simple to clean and maintain, a fantastic warranty, and it just works. I highly recommend Sicce pumps.

Really quiet
Setup was a replacement of a pump I had for about 8 years. Easy and silent.

I had to upgrade from their 3.0 model to this 4.0 model for the extra flow, since I put an inline UV sterilizer !
