Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Textured Spray Paint, Black

I am crazy excited about this stuff!!! I was looking high and low for a low cost solution to finding a paint that was close to what was known as "suede" paint for my 1970 Plymouth Duster dashboard and steering column parts. That original paint company either went out of business years ago or was bought up and finding the "correct" paint has gotten difficult and expensive. This is so close to original (in my opinion) that I want to tell everyone! I tried it on a test piece and if feels like it will be very durable as well. I just might find other uses for it simply because I like it. It applied nice and even and I had no clogging but I really had to press hard on the button to achieve this.

This black spray paint provided excellent coverage over my Facebook marketplace plant stand. The spray nozzle was comfortable and easy to spray, and the paint came out evenly. I’d like the textured look it, hides the flaws. This is the best spray paint on the market, if you’re looking for a textured look.

Hello Amazon Third Party Seller, I purchased two cans of the Grey Rust-Oleum Textured paint. I like the paint and it looks great on the surfaces that I painted in on. The First Can I used the paint and paint came out No Problem and I used it all up HOWEVER the Second Can stopped working and is still nearly 100% full and when you press down no paint comes out. I checked the nozzle and made sure that it was cleaned, I held both cans at the same 45 degree angle, shook them up or rattled the can and the first can worked great but the second one stopped working only after a few seconds of use. I am now left with a full can of Spray Paint that does not work or come out of the can which is useless and extremely disappointing. especially since I purchased the paint at a cost of $16.38 cents PER CAN. I now need another can of Grey paint as I am only 1/2 way through my project - I purchased Rust-Oleum as it has always been a great brand and in the past has been a great quality paint for me. I hope they stand by their products as this has been a frustrating experience for me. #ProductFail #NotWorking Thank you Paul

I bought this to restore two metal, garden benches that my mom-in-law bought us that needed a little face lift. The product is easy to use and has a nice texture, but if doing a similar product by one can per project, to get the smooth complete coverage. I went back to buy more to hit any missed spots. Drys nicely. It's worth wearing gloves as if there is a little breeze, getting a bit of the paint on your hands is a little bit of work to get off. I learned my lesson between cans 1 and 2. Great buy.

This is a great product for rehabbing old cast iron patio furniture. For easier application invest in a "comfort grip." As much as I love this product, I'm giving it 4 stars because Rustoleum needs to figure out how to resolve the clogging issue. About 1/3 of the paint I've purchased (24 cans in the last 3 years) has been completely wasted because of clogging. When clogging occurs, the instructions say to "rinse" the spray nozzle in mineral spirits. I did that (several times), and it doesn't work. I shook the cans for more than a minute before spraying, as the instructions directed. It doesn't matter - the cans clog up and the rest of the paint in the can is wasted. Surely Rustoleum can come up with a better fix.

The Mopar metal bumpers on my AEV Jeep were rusting after 8 years. I sand blasted them and sprayed them with this paint and it is incredibly close to OEM. AEV sells their paint for an outrageous price and I wouldn’t be surprised if it is this paint with a AEV label, that’s how close it is. Time will tell how it lasts but I painted it a month ago and it’s seen rain and elements with no deterioration.

I wanted that textured look and it delivered. I had a couple of old lamps I wanted to restore. I’d say it took about 2 coats for it to give me the finish I wanted. I got the white and love the results. You do have to make it dry in between layers. I did it outside. If not you need to wear a mask.

This is expensive, but the quality of paint is astounding. I have tried other brands but this product purely focuses on anti corrosion or non corrosive aspects of the paint.

Needed this to touch of parts of my steel bumper on my jeep that got scuffed up. Almost matched perfectly. Worked great for how cheap it was. Would suggest for any JL steel bumper pieces.

Didn't work. I shook the can a good bit before using it, but after about 3 seconds of use the paint stopped flowing. I removed the nozzle & cleaned it, but it still didn't work. Removed the nozzle again, and pressed down on the stem at the top with pliers so as to not obscure the hole, but nothing would come out. Waste of money!

Perfect product. I think who wrote it poor doesn't know what is the use of this paint. Shake well before use as heavy particles settle down. Its a replacement of powder coating.
