Handmade Deer Hide Frame Drum – Cedar Wood Hand Drum for Meditation, Sound Healing, and Music (13")

I adore this drum. It’s beautiful to look at and the sound is incredible. It reverberates deep inside of me when I play it. So calming. So healing. The 13” size is perfect. Easy to hold and carry along and big enough that the sound resonates. The way that it’s tied with the stone makes it even easier to hold and play and the design on the hide is so unique.

Beautifully crafted, gorgeous sound, very healing. I !!!LOVE!!! my drum! The sound and vibrations are amazing. If you're wondering about them, check out the video on the 13 inch version. The handle is excellent. Very comfortable. Excellent, wonderful energy ❤️ 🦚 The drumstick is very nice and I love the leather on it, but there's not much padding around the end of the stick itself, and that worries me. It feels and sounds like the stick itself is hitting the skin of the drum, and I don't want to damage the drum at all. Everything is so beautiful made, I don't want to damage anything. But is there something I can do about the drumstick?

Not only is this drum great quality and very well made but the sound quality is absolutely beautiful. It has the deep booming resonance I was wanting when choosing my drum. It also arrived much quicker than I expected. 10 out of 10!

I just got my drum this minute. It wasnt supposed to arrive until next week, what a nice surprise for me! Its an art piece, very beautiful and well made, capable of many different sounds depending on whether you use the striker or your hand. I turned it upside down, put a few tiny beads inside and gently rolled them around the perimeter - it makes a neat clacking sound against the frame along with the rolling hum of the marbles. Maybe not proper drum etiquette to play with it like that, but it sounded cool. Im going to practice meditation with it. Im not a professional musician but I cant see how one would not be entirely pleased with this instrument! Just my opinion. Thank You for sending it so promptly.

Wow. This drum exceeded my expectations. This is the first time I've risked buying a Native flute or drum online. No way to test drive it first. As it turns out, the price is certainly competitive for the drum's quality. The hide on the drum I received is uncommonly thick for deer, & the frame is stout. Even so, the overall drum is lightweight & easy to handle. I believe these drums are made in MN. I speculate the hide on mine was stretched in spring or summer, when conditions were humid, making for a fairly tight drumhead. For readers who are not frame drum aficionados, hides tighten & go up in pitch in dry conditions, especially in the heat, & loosen & drop in pitch in mild, humid conditions. If the drum I received is any guide, I would expect these drums to perform well in mild, humid climates. It's hard to imagine the hide ever going too loose to sing. I would not, however, recommend this drum for dry climates, cold or hot. I expect the hide would be too tight to sing in places like WY or the Desert Southwest. Cold & wet outside, with a heater running indoors, would create similarly low humidity. The hide is thick enough, I don't think it would be at high risk to split, but it would not likely sound very good in low humidity conditions. Another sound tip, if the drumstick I received is representative of those typically provided, you will find that the padding on the head is pretty sparse. I get a much better sound with one of my small drumsticks that has a thicker, softer head. When conditions are mild enough, the drum's voice is surprisingly rich for its small diameter. I'm planning to perform with it at an outdoor event on New Years. Conditions may be cold & wet, & most of my drums would likely go flat, but I think this drum will maintain its voice. I think it may also function well in a sweat lodge, at least initially in a first round.

Great sound, love the tone, color doesn't look natural, but it all about music!!!!!

It is a beautiful design, easy to handle, and I love its deep, full, and reverberating sound. It seems to be well made and easy to handle. I look forward to many Shamanic ceremonies with this celebratory instrument.

I just love this drum! It is awesome. The tone and richness of the sound is amazing. I use this drum at drumming circles and also during meditation. The resonance on this drum lifts you to a higher frequency thus allowing you to journey at a deeper level. Also, the two-tone colors on the drum give it it's own unique look. It is so beautiful. I highly recommend it.

This drum exceeded my expectations. It arrived carefully packaged with instructions for care. The sound is amazing!

Love it! sounds good but the mallet is not the best for more profound sound.

The drum is beautiful..... I am so pleased.....

Beautiful drum. Small imperfection that adds character
