SAPRETAILER BBQ Charcoal Chimney Starter

It is nice and easy to burn the charcoal quickly but only minus point is there is no protection for holder, hand will get burn but I use gloves to avoid this, Without gloves do not lift it with hot charcoal, use gloves before it. Otherwise this is fantastic product.

The media could not be loaded. It Works as it's supposed to. Size is good for home bbq. You can either use the Firestarter cubes or can put it on top of a gas stove. I usually go for 1-2 Firestarter cubes on top of some paper with some wooden sticks and put it on top. I mix the coconut shell briquettes & wood charcoal (about 70:30 ratio). And it would take around 10 mins to get a burn like shown in the video. Handle is not too hot to hold but u can feel the heat coming off of the thing itself at that point. Better to use a cloth or baking gloves even.Only thing negative about it is Heat resistance. I suppose thats beacuse the Metal isn't thick enough. The discoloration around the middle where is gets too Hot. But honestly it doesn't bother me too much.It Works.plain & Simple. Definitely would recommend buying. 👌

This chimney starter has never disappointed. I have been using it for over a year now (5 camping trips). It holds about 24 briquettes and takes just a couple of crumpled and lit newspaper sheets stuffed underneath to light the coals. Patience is the key here. It might not appear to be doing anything, but in around 15 mins all the coals will be lit up and ready to go. Once as we were lighting up the coals, down came a massive thunderstorm. We abandoned camp huddled in our cars for 30 mins while the skies opened up. Surprisingly even after the heavy rain, the coals in the chimney were all lit up and ready to go. The rest of campsite was drenched and it took half a liter of petrol and a few lit coals to start up the wood bonfire. I will definitely recommend this chimney starter. I don't see the point spending big bucks on the big brand name starting with W, whose BBQ griller I own (and love). Buy this one for quarter the price and spend your savings on 3 bags of briquettes or a crate of beer instead.

This chimney starter is very well made and is also very affordable. The size is quite large though. It's about 8 to 9 inches in diameter and about 12 to 13 inches in length. So if you need a starter that is for just 250 or 500 gms coal, this is not for you. If however you have a BBQ party and want to start about 2 kgs or more of coal, then this is for you.The above was written on 14th June 2019. I ordered another one recently and have used it for igniting about 1.5 kgs of coal. This one is the best value for money. Package was in a carton. That carton was in another carton. Quality and workmanship of the product is excellent.Remember, that it will discolour after the forst use due to the intense heat that the metal is subject to. This is normal and to be expected. After the hot coals are emptied in the barbecue, let this chimney cool down. Once cool wipe with a dry cloth and keep in a dry place to avoid rusting.

The product, a galvanized plain thin sheet, is just ok, but it needs manufacturers attention for safety. The seller advises to put charcoal into it and put directly on gas stove to fire the charcoal. It works well , but there are about 7 holes in the bottom, each dia of the holes is about 1.5 inches or 40 mm . After firing the charcoal, when carry to barbeque area, small pieces of fired charcoal falls down through the holes which is only due to bigger holes. I got minor injury on my toe when tried the product first time. Anyhow, during my second attempt, i bought a 7 inches wide frying spoon ( the same big spoon used for frying items in oil which had multple small holes ) after removing its handle, I tightly tied it to the bootom of this product. After doing this i found the product safe to carry with fire. My suggestion is a 15 mm wide multiple holes in the boottom of this product is more than enough, why 40 mm wide 7 holes through which small fires start to fall. I am even planning to remove the entire bottom and replace it with metal sheet with multiple 10 to 15 mm holes. Be safe guys

Liked the product, writing this review after 4-5 usageLike -- Usage is simple- Solves the purpose well- Starts firing wood charcoal around 30 minsDislikes -- Color is completely faded- It turns red in its peak- Handle gets heated too much, we have to use clothes to hold & pour into grill- If u are using coal of stone type it will take longer time, use mix of Wood charcoal & then stone for better efficiency.—Product is recommended, as it solves the purposes as a starter otherwise our grill will take too much time to get all the goal burn.

Nice product for house hold burnings. Not very big.

The barbecue chimney is solidly built, with great space and a sturdy wooden handle. Overall, I'm very satisfied with it. Height: 33 cm, Diameter: 19 cm
