I used to have a microwave with a built-in vent above my stove, but it never worked very well at removing smoke or odors. I finally decided to upgrade to this dedicated range hood, and I’m so glad I did! The installation was smooth, and it looks sleek and modern in my kitchen. It works really well – strong suction, quiet operation, and the LED lights are a nice touch. The digital controls are easy to use, and the filters are simple to clean. This is definitely one of the best kitchen upgrades I’ve made. Highly recommend!

This hood is great. I love the design and smooth edges. It's easy to install even on a slanted ceiling. Very powerful. It's loud but I appreciate knowing it's working.

We’ve had our Cosmo Range Vent for nearly a month and, overall, are happy with our purchase. As others have mentioned, the installation instructions need improvement. I’m pretty handy when it comes to home improvement, so some common sense enabled me to figure a few confusing things out. However, a novice may have some trouble. The fan itself is a product of China. We selected ours because the price fit into our budget for our kitchen remodel. I can tell that this product is a bit more cheaply made than some of the other name brands that we looked into when shopping in the stores. Time will tell how well it holds up. The unit looks very nice and the electronic controls and display are great. The fan has three speeds. My wife tends to use the medium speed mostly because high speed is quite loud, though it seems to work very well. Cleaning the unit, inside and out, is a breeze. The unit also comes with lights, which we don’t normally use, and a timer that you can set that will automatically turn off the fan. Installation wasn’t too difficult. I recommend an extra set of hands while mounting the main unit and I also suggest purchasing better wall mounting anchors than what are supplied with the unit. Getting the electrical receptacle positioned where it doesn’t interfere with the vent pipe may be a little tricky if you are venting outside. In general, I’d probably recommend this product if you’re looking for something nice that will save a few bucks.

This hood is stylish and functional and we like the shut-off timer on the fan. It is quiet on the quietest setting and louder on the other 2 settings but never unacceptably loud. We have it ducted to the outside of the home and it is powerful enough on the lowest setting to really move the louvers of the vent. Our contractor installed it and chose to just use a long 6" flex duct (long path to vent) but even with this duct, noise isn't an issue. I wish the LED lights were a warmer white instead of the 5000K they currently are. This review is based on a couple days use after install and will be updated if necessary. Edit: The clock is always 4 digit. It always has a leading zero though it is in 12 hour time format. Edit: The blue protective tape was easy to remove if one peels it lengthwise.

This is my attempt #3 of buying a range hood on Amazon. The first two were bought from a different seller, one arrived damaged, the replacement was shipped and also arrived damaged. Then I bought this one and waited with a lot of anxiety for this range hood to be delivered. I must say that the amount of packaging is impressive. The box had plastic inserts on the outside for the handles so that it is easy to carry and handle with care. To me it was a very good sign. When I opened the box, the product was completely covered with Styrofoam, there were also plastic corners to protect the hood corners and the sides. And it was completely covered with sticky blue film to protect from scratches, inside and outside. The blue film actually looks very nice, a bit of contemporary touch, maybe I will leave on the surfaces to protect from dust and grease. The display is covered with clear film. The only suggestion I would have is to actually cover the area around the display with plastic film for protection. This range hood is a bit smaller than others I looked at, but it it is also lighter, easier to carry and hold. The installation process was EASY: 3 brackets, 2 for the chimney, and 1 for the hood. I mounted the brackets on the wall, and then just hung the hood. It took me 30 minutes. The manual was clear, but I would suggest adding a section that would explain that 1 bracket was actually for the hood. For some reason the instructions start with chimney installation. Logically, I need to know how to install the hood and then the chimney. I figured it out looking at the picture in the manual, but it was not as clear as it could be. The range works great, looks great, I am VERY happy with the product.

​We are very happy with this range hood. The look is fantastic and instantly upgraded our kitchen. The lights are bright and perfect for cooking visibility. The sound is moderate and not disruptive. We did need to make a small adjustment to the duct cover during installation, but the final look and performance are exactly what we wanted! Highly recommend.

I selected this Cosmo range hood after comparing it to many others and decided on this because it had the features I wanted for a reasonable price. This had the low wattage bright white LED lights I wanted and the 3-speed and CFMs were fine for what we needed. It has a flapper valve to prevent downdrafts from back flowing into the kitchen. Hood was well packed and included an instruction pamphlet, which could be a little more detailed on the installation. Things that I learned after the fact which would have been more helpful in the instruction manual such as the location of the electrical outlet in relation to the duct work. Included was a 6" diameter accordion-style flexible duct., which I chose not to use, instead buying a 6" vent pipe to prevent eventual oil build up within the flexible duct. If you use the supplied duct the location of your electrical outlet shouldn't be an issue. Because I chose to use a rigid vent pipe it only left about an inch of clearance between the vent pipe and your wall. If your electrical outlet is about 1 1/4" away on either side of the vent pipe you should be able to plug the motor in with the supplied electrical plug without a problem. Unfortunately my outlet was almost directly behind the vent so I needed to order a flat short 90º extension cord to plug into the outlet. You have three mounting brackets, one for the range hood and two for the chimney pieces. Make certain those brackets are aligned vertically and don't tighten them down all the way until you dry fit the top and bottom chimney sections on them. If your chimney brackets aren't aligned, your two-piece chimney will be crooked. (It will be very noticeable if you have vertical grout lines between your tiles). This will allow you to easily shift one or both of the brackets to either side to align the two chimneys. The chimneys are light and the supplied wall anchors are more than enough to support their weight. Finally, an easier way to align the top chimney bracket to the top chimney is to hold the top chimney in place, then measure the distance of the small screw holes on the sides of the top chimney from the top of your ceiling. Then make a pencil mark on the wall denoting that distance. Do the same thing on the opposite side. Then place the top chimney bracket on the wall (use a level to make sure it's level), and align the bracket's small hole to your pencil mark. Do the same on the opposite side. That will be where you mount your top chimney bracket. If you do it correctly the top of the chimney will be flush with your ceiling when you screw in the top chimney to the top bracket. Only feature this model doesn't have is the option to change to a 24-hour clock. Otherwise it's a good range hood.

I purchased this Cosmo range hood in 2019 and initially I was very happy with it. It looks great, the fan is strong, and it has performed well for several years. Unfortunately, when one of the lights burned out, I discovered a serious problem. I ordered what appeared to be the correct replacement light directly from Cosmo (an LED “upgrade” listed for the model). When I installed it, it did not work. After contacting Cosmo support, they informed me that the original bulbs used in my model are no longer available and the light I purchased was actually not compatible with my hood. So now I’m stuck with a range hood that works perfectly… except I can’t get replacement lights for it. I also spent $35 on a bulb that Cosmo recommended but doesn’t actually work with my unit and cannot be returened. It’s extremely disappointing that a company would stop supporting such a basic replacement part for an appliance that isn’t that old. A range hood should last many years, and replacement bulbs should be readily available. If Cosmo had continued supporting parts for their products, this would still be a five-star hood. But the lack of parts support has been a big frustration. I will never buy another product from Cosmo.

We renovated kitchen with gas stove, suction volume worked is escellent well reat, easy to install came with all the right bits. There was a sticker/decal on top of the blue plastic protective cover and the ink or something now on the stainless steel. Have tried a couple of cleaners to get it off ie Windex but nothing so far has removed it

Fan moves tons of air . Light cover only on 1 side fell out and didn't want to stay in place.

I'm very happy with this purchase. It has all I need and it has very nice steamline looks that fits well in any kitchen style. On F1 the noise is hardly detectable while on F3 it is louder but hence it will clear the smoke very fast. A++++

It looks good, the installation is easy, and the lights work great. All other functions are not as described. 760 cubic feet per minute aiir flow? Really? Nonsense. It is useless if ductless. Waste of money for me. It is a piece of kitchen decor, just to fill the space over the stove.
