I like this one
We need an inverter for medical equipment when my wife is in the vehicle. The equipment has battery backup but need the batteries when we get where were going. The machine is only 2.5 amps the most i would require is 3.5 amps which should be easy for a 700 watt inverter. I tried about 4 different ones and others would overheat because the fan wouldn't stay on. Or other issues. This one works as it is intended to work. It has been used approximately 5 hrs. now no issues. I have an older inverter in my truck that I have had for years and I can't really understand why that old one never has an issue but all the newer models I was trying did? It's a quality issue of course. We used to just use my truck when we needed a 110 source but life changes. The truck is hader to get in and the 110 source is needed most of the time now. The 12 volt won't charge and run some equipment. Sorry for the long post

Works great lasts long
Nothing wrong with this product, but there is one thing I wish was different. It has a fan that turns on to cool it which is loud, but also after I turn off EVERYTHING it is supplying electricity to, the fan keeps going and does not turn off unless I turn it off manually, which I do to save electricity from my solar panels.

Solid
Replaced an Ampeak inverter with this. The Ampeak was bells and whistles, but poorly engineered. It was finned, but made of plastic, so it ran hot and fans were constantly going. This inverter is finned with aluminum and stays cool. Even in a hot shed, under moderate load, the case was cool to the touch and no fans. Also really like the toggle switch for power. If my battery runs out, this will automatically come back on once battery charges up a bit. That is awesome. It seems really well put together and the focus seems to be on durability.

Didn't work....and heres what it did.
Need an inverter to run some small power tools 'off road' ..... basically a 4.5 amp drill and a 15 amp circular saw. This inverter was rated for 2000 running watts and 4000 starting watts. ...sufficiently more than enough to run those tools. I installed the unit directly to a fully charged deep cycle battery and tried to run the 15 amp circular saw. It turned up in about one half second to full RPM's and stopped instantly. The high pitch alarm came on and the red light. I tried it again several times with exactly the same affect. Then I tried the 4.5 amp drill with exactly the same affect. It also seemed very "warm" to the touch I notified Amazon which issued a return shipping label. I dropped it off at the UPS yesterday and this morning I had an email from Amazon that my refund was complete. EXCELLENT ! This was probably a single manufacturers defect and other units probably work just fine . Make up your own mind....but I won't be buying this brand in the future..... just sayin'.

Works well, careful of wire size..
My 500w inverter seems to be working well. It's in my RV, powering 32" tv, ps4, charging phones.. In looking at the other inverters offered, ( 2000w & 5000w ) I am concerned about the size wire they come with. It looks like the 5000w comes with 6 AWG wire. ? That is NOT even close to what you should be using for that size, I would be using 4/0 at least. Which is so much bigger than #6. 5000w inverter, can handle about 40A at 115 VAC, however, on the 12V side it will be around 10X that ( 400A ) 6 AWG wire is only rated for 55A Now, this is the potential of amp draw that you could see. Unless I am missing something.. I am not an expert, but this is my understanding, so as always, don't take other peoples word for fact, ( including mine ) do your own checking, Just trying to save someone a big headache. If you are ever not sure on something, consult a professional, ( In that field ) :) cheers. Chad.
