Search on Amazon for “Goop hand cleaner.” Otherwise it will bring up Gwenyth Paltrow’s skin care line. It’s a white, blue and red container.

How do I get this off of hard plastic?

Maybe try freezing it with ice cubes? Or try peanut butter? Works with gum.

Does it dry up and/or harden if they forget to close the container?

No, the putty does not ever dry out or harden. Don’t ever let it sit on anything but a hard surface. It will settle into carpet and other soft surfaces permanently.
