Yes, our Coconut Milk Powder works great as a milk or cream substitute in hot cocoa, coffee, cereal, or anything else you would use milk for. Its also delicious when added to a shake or smoothie.

Q: how do you recommend it be stored? will the coconut milk powder go bad when exposed to warmer temps? i live in hawaii.

I don't think it gets bad because of worm temperature. But I keep mine an closed lid jar in the kitchen. It seems fine. I love this coconut dry milk!

Q: Does it have a rich coconut taste like the canned coconut milk or is it more bland like the refrigerated coconut milk marketed as a dairy substitute?

It's not quite as rich as the full fat canned version I used to buy. It's richer than the refridgerated milk and tastes way better. The more you use the creamier it is. It is great for traveling to have my own creamer. I have only used it as a creamer but would not hesitate to use it in a cream sauce, for soups, etc.
