It took a little time to figure out, but it worked well. Concerning the 4K transmission, i feel like it didn’t totally transmit the 4K, because of the cheap 4K tv I have, and a little signal being lost on the way. If you truly want 4K transmitted, try better 4K TVs, good 4K hdmi cables, and be clear of obstructions. Then you might get the full 4K. But for me, it’s good enough.

This worked great for 4k video from a streaming stick or game system. But playing games on my Xbox or PS5 caused the extender to drop out video. The TV would just show a black screen randomly during some games, at cut scenes of others, and wouldn't work at all for some games. My guess is that it can't handle the variable refresh rate some games use. I gave it 3 stars since it does work for 4K streaming video, but avoid this product if you want to use it with a game system. I replaced this with theTrip Lite B127 series that works flawlessly with my Xbox Series S.

Used a 100 feet CAT7 cable. Picture is slightly off color - Not too bad. Also there is no lag. Plus no problem with the quality of sound and transmission. Quite happy with it so far.

Used this to feed an NVR security camera HDMI output to another room because the remote browser based interface is pretty lousy. Worked great with a dedicated CAT6 cable run for it. This particular unit uses PoE on one end so do not expect it to work going thru a network switch, its not tcp/ip signalling anyway.

I saw video noise/artifacts on screen.

Got these for my husband and they turned out great! A lot better than I expected .
