The real deal. Very heavy duty- perfect for smash burgers
I was looking for a heavy duty spatula to make smash burgers as I'll I tried were too whimpy (pun intended!) and bent when I tried to press the burgers flat. These are very heavy duty and up to the task. They are a bit pricey but I'm a firm believer in the "buy once. cry once" philosophy. I highly recommend these and have convinced several friends to buy them as well.

Sturdy
This is strong and sturdy. Great handle and metal is not flimsy. Works great on our flat top and seems like it will last many years.

Got this to use with my blackstone griddle. I have some official blackstone turners and wow what a night and day different in terms of quality. This Mercer turner is sturdy and definitely meant to last. I can smash a burger patty without worrying about bending the metal. My blackstone turners are flimsy and if I tried to smash a patty the metal would definitely bend at the handle. The edges are beveled making getting under the food much easier. I’ve had no issue handling the turner in high heat. Just a great turner for griddle use.Obviously you get what you pay for. These Mercer turners aren’t cheap but I can see them lasting a lifetime. I plan to get other variations to complete my griddle tool set. Definitely recommend.Update: added to my collection and bought the grill scraper. Very sturdy with no flex what so ever. The scraping edge has a nice bevel to it. Not obvious in the product pictures but the scraping edge is not squared, instead it has a slight angle to it. I initially thought the scraper was defective until i searched for pictures online and it appears the angle is purposely made...perhaps it helps to scrape better?

Wow! It's a Buy!
I was a little reluctant to get this - thought it was a little pricey, but man, it is a great product. Very thick handle and will not bend. Perfect for making smash burgers! It's wide enough that the burger won't mush out on the sides. And it has a very nice finish to it - shines almost like a mirror. Nice sharp beveled edges all around. Turn it upside down and use it as a scraper as needed (e.g. scraping a smashed burger from a hot cast iron cooking surface so the burger comes off without leaving behind any of that charred burgery goodness). Just a no-nonsense kitchen tool for serious cooks.

I enjoy this
it is good and easy to clean, my personal favorite use is for transferring chopped items from the cutting board to other pots, It works great for that, much better than a bench scraper or knife in my opinion. yes it is a great spatula, and pretty good for a scraper; but as stated I always reach for this to transfer cut veggies , I would buy it just for this alone, I can get big scoops of potatoes or onions ect. it is a kitchen favorite for me, if your smashing burgers, the neck flexes a little more that I would like in my opinion, but it still works and I don't have another heavy duty to compare it to. thank you. What can I say, I am a Mercer Guy!
You can always count on Mercer for your kitchen tools. This was a bit spendy for what it is, but you still gotta love it. You'll likely buy two or three cheap ones before you finally bite the bullet and pick up something this nice.

Amazing spatula for larger pans/grills
Very sturdy, handle is a poly rubber kinda thing molded to the tine which is thick and solid. Bought this along with another smaller one. I needed spatulas that wouldn't break on my after a few months...everything I got at the stores was just too whimpy. This is rock solid, and you'd really have to work at bending or breaking it. it's only downfall (if you could call it that) is it's size. it's made to be big and flip big stuff. Any pan smaller then a 10 inch will have problems with this spatula. But it's not made for that. It's made for flipping flapjacks or burgers on a grill or larger pan. and for that it's 5 star.
