High Quality USA made tool
Extremely accurate. Easy to ready optic yellow vials. Feels extremely robust compared to typical name brand extruded I beam 48" aluminum levels. Smooth edges, that are painted, with almost complete absence of tool marks. Looks like a very nice fresh casting on the inside, with almost no "mold flashing". The only downside could be weight, it's heavier than any box or wood level I've had hands on, but it's just not an issue in practice. And it adds to the solid feel.Made in USA 💪!

A very heavy duty bricklayers level
This is a super strong and very accurate level I'm a brake layer and I am very rough on levels this one is fantastic it has a very renforced I beam as part of the spine so you can beat on it with your trowel to make adjustments to your wall I highly recommend this level if you are a bricklayer

Do not buy these
I have had this one a while. Had checked it for level and plum. Seemed to be close enough.Today I had it sitting on a table and was looking down it and thought something didn't look right. I got a straight edge and checked. Sure, enough I was right, it had a 1/4 in bend in it across the 4 ft that I had not noticed. These must be seconds Sands wouldn't sell and of course I have had mine too long to return.Don't waste your money on this crap.

It's Heavy
Very high quality level. But it is pretty heavy. It doesn't bother me but Everyone at work makes a comment when they pick it up lol

It finds level perfectly but fit and finish is terrible
I'm very not impressed, especially for a premium type USA made tool.First problem - the beam of the level is very obviously not straight. It's not a big deal function wise because it's bent along the non milled face. I straightened that out just by forcing it to yield a little bit.Second problem - The casting flash was not very well dealt with at the factory so it has cut-your-hands sharp edges all over the insides of the grip holes. I got those out with some files.Another mentionable - The vial windows are all sealed (or maybe even fastened, can't really tell) by glazing putty and It's soft like play doh. Unkless it hardens up quick there is no way it will last in the environment that I'll be using it in.The thing is, anyone can go buy a level that will read level just as well for less money at a big box store that doesn't show up bent and unfinished. The one thing this level has going for it is the fact that it's cast aluminum rather than extruded so it might last longer than other models.I hate buying tools that are made outside of the USA but I won't be buying any more Sand's levels. Johnson still makes some of their models inside the USA so I'll have to go back to the tried and true next time I need a new level.
