Retro-fitted to existing towel rail for drying towels in summer
Yes, you'll need a plumber to drain the radiator, fit the heater and refill it with water and inhibitor, and yes you'll need an electrician to run a circuit from it back to a controller like https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CN3J46N4 - but that done, dry towels all year round, not just when the central heating's running.

Straightforward replacement
With towel rail off wall & placed upside down, old unit easily removed & new screwed in place. New unitshorter (same 300 wattage) so water needed topping up. Removed adjacent filler & topped up with de-ionised water. With filler cap removed heater plugged in (garage floor job) so excess water bled off when up to temperature. Left to cool & water level dropped to provide expansion room when in service. Refitted in bathroom & all tickety boo.

USELESS.
this element does not work. it keeps heating up until radiator is boiling. does not cut out on thermostat. arrived poorly packed in shrunk wrapped plastic bag. should have been in box to protect during transit. this has cost me money, as had to buy elswhere. will never buy this product again from amazon. useless. star rating. NILL.VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER.
