I bought this inexpensive direct drive pump for a lyophilizer while the original pump is being repaired.it has only been a couple of days but the pump is performing very well. It is small and light weight. only negative is that it is loader then other (more expensive) direct drive pumps from Edwards, Welch or ILMVAC. below are the price and vacuum of each pumpOriginal pump 0.010 mbar ($6000)This pump 0.025 mbar ($700)
