this replaced an older cable that was malfunctioning. i hoped the issue was with the cable and I was correct as the new cable fixed the problem

Works better than the power adapter that shipped with my backup camera
My original power adapter that came with my backup camera was failing. I read other reviews and was concerned that I might sacrifice traffic updates if I don't get the right power adapter and then I realized that I had that trouble with the original power adapter. I noticed this adapter had the same part number except the suffix was a different number (revision number I guessed). This one does everything perfectly...traffic and backup camera. I had to re-do the connectivity with the camera so I gave it the same name with a date stamp at the end. This helps me keep track of how long they last too.

Good price, fully functional
This cable is necessary if you want to use your compatible Garmin as a back up camera as I do. Or if your device is an LMT & you want traffic updates. In fact Garmin should ship ant LMT device with 1 but they leave you to do separately.But this cable works as advertised and this was a very good price.

This Works Just Fine, Can't Say the Same for the Camera
This seems to have worked ok but the picture from the camera is bad especially in bright sunlight. Wish there was some way to make picture adjustments like brightness and contrast.

Without this Wireless power cable the BC30 Backup camera will not work
The videos on how to install the Garmin BC 30 backup camera never once mentioned that you needed the Garmin 010-12242-22 Power cable in order for the backup camera to work! I even called Garmin support and the tech suggested it was because the camera was faulty! Not once did he ask me if I had the BC-30 Garmin plugged into the power cable!

Not a knock off so it works great. I had to buy this to install a back up camera in my step sons car. He loves it!
