Q: is it okay to leave this plant in the soil it was shipped in or does it need to be repotted? If so what is best type of soil (mixture?) to repot in?

I received my 3 beautiful jade babies on 6/11. They are still in the original pots because I had surgery. They are doing wonderful and have grown close to 2 inches in the 7 weeks (I spray soil with a little water once in a while). They really could be transplanted but will have to wait a couple more weeks. I would let them get acclimated to their new home before transplanting for sure. I'm going to use succulent soil but any good, well draining soil is fine I think. I hope this helps.

Just like one of your previous answers,,every plant will lean toward direct sun/that is why every 3-4 days rotate (turn the pot around) aprox 180 degrees or 1 fourth..

Q: What size planter does it require and does the planter require a drainage hole?

The size of the pot depends on where you are going to set the plant. What ever size you choose this plant will grow into it. I never purchase pots without a drainage hole.

Q: How old is this plant?

Not very old, mine was pretty much just sticking out of the dirt, now it's starting to rise up out of the dirt.
