UPDATE: I went online to purchase another one, and the price has increased from $21.99 to $53.99!! During this health crisis, it is a shame to take advantage of people who are already struggling financially due to unemployment!!! I no longer recommend this company. There are many other companies with thermometers that are cheaper with great reviews who aren't price gouging!This thermometer is accurate and consistent. I've used many thermometers in the past, but the only thermometer that I could find that was consistent every time is the digital oral themometers. If I don't move the Fora IR42 themometer in between readings, I will get the same reading, over and over again. Also, if I move it and take my temperature in a diferent location, the readout is within .5 degrees. This is understandable since body temperature differs slightly throughout the body. My home nurse introduced this themometer to me. She purchased it for her patients, and she was pleased with the results. I need to take my temperature daily, so accuracy is of utmost importance! I paid three times as much for a Thermoscan no touch themometer in the past. It is not as accurate as this one, and it broke within the first year of use.

Easy to use and read

Overall, this is a great IR thermometer. Simple to use, good price, quick + accurate + consistent measurements. I have had other ones which were more difficult to use, took much longer to provide a reading, were inconsistent with measurements, and chewed through batteries. My only gripe is that there's no way to turn off the "beep" sound it makes when it completes a measurement. It would have been a nice feature to have, but is proving insignificant because the sound is not loud enough to wake my sleeping infant.

We purchased this as a baby shower gift. These are so necessary and often used in our household. This is a great gift for a new mom!

Really like this digital thermometer, it is easy to use, easy to read, pretty accurate. Before buying it read some reviews that after putting batteries in it still read lo. To let you know if you read manual it explains that lo reading is not referring to the batteries, but to temp is lower than the threshold. Once you take temp it disappears. Would recommend.

I took a chance on this thermometer to work like the Drs office. It does! It’s easy to use. Much easier talking my Grandson into sitting still for a second than holding something on his forehead! Love this thermometer!!!!

This thermometer looked like a quality instrument. It seemingly worked fine for about 2 years. We needed to use it recently and it was giving very erratic temperature readings and sometimes none at all. Replaced the batteries and tried the owners manual but neither helped.This is an expensive item and one would expect it to work well for more than a couple years. A complete waste of money and now I'm in a pinch without a thermometer.Certainly not "medical grade."
