I like this practice katana. My son loves it! It a nice heavy beater stick! It arrived quickly and was packaged very nicely. The saya is made of plastic, that’s fine. The tsuba is a heavy rubber that fits nice and snug. This thing IS hefty with a good weight. Swings faster than a wooden bat in my opinion. I may order another one for kicks.

The bokken came in a speedy delivery, and when it arrived I began assembling it, starting with the tsuba. Then I was met with a large amount of resistance and by the time I got the tsuba to its proper position, there was a 3-4in crack on the bokken. I contacted e-bogu and was they were kind enough to get me a replacement bokken! Overall I'm very happy with the new bokken and the tsuba slid smoothly down the bokken. The new bokken wasn't a perfect fit for my saya since it easily slides out, however that doesn't change that I'm very grateful their customer support was understanding and helpful.

This Bokken comes spray painted black, I recommend sanding it down first, and lacoiring the wood under.Now for what it's worth:This isn't a Bokken made for contact sword play, if you want to use it to practice Iaijutsu or Akido, it's perfect for that. But I can just tell by the quality of wood, you could get maybe 4 hits before it breaks ( for the price it's worth for non - contact training.Now the sheath:The sheath is plastic but very well made, if you happen to get another bokken, it would most likely fit like a glove so the cost of it is worth it. The median seal, that extends center down the length of the Saiya, should be reinforced at the opening of it and the base to avoid the Saiya splitting, mines didn't but there's that design flaw that should be addressed. Other than that it's great for the price just dont expect it to last forever

Cool practice/LARPing sword. I am using it for Renaissance Festival attire. It is sturdy and looks good.

I think for 50 bucks it's a good buy, the paint is kinda weird and seems like it might chip off, but I mainly bought this as a prop so it more than fills its purpose.

Bravo! This is really just a fantastic wooden bokken. I couldn’t be more pleased with this product for the price. It has a similar weight to a real katana, is comfortable, fun, and sturdy. What else more is there to ask for from a 50$ wooden bokken?

This product makes me so happy; I assembled it with great ease, and it just feels so nice to hold, and fits into the scabbard quite easily.Y’all need to buy from these guys!
