You can use your old apple plug in but not the cord because it have to be a fast charging cord. Hope this helps

Q: Is this totally wireless? Will it work without being plugged in?

The unit has to be plugged in to A/C power. But the phone can just lay on it. The phone HAS to be in close proximity to the charger. The charger can be plugged in to any electrical outlet that can supply the proper voltage. We are not yet at the point where you can just get energy out of the air like Tesla wanted us to. I am very satisfied with my charger. Of course a cable will charge your phone faster. Your phone MUST support wireless charging.

Q: Will these work on the Samsung Galaxy A20?

Sorry to tell you that Samsung Galaxy A20 doesn't equip with wireless charging function. To achieve wireless charging, you need to purchase a wireless Qi receiver and plug it into the phone. Sincerely hope this helps.
