Schmincke Horadam Watercolor is my Favorite of all that I've tried! As a professional artist, I'm very particular about the pigmentation, texture, lightfastness, and application quality of my paints and these check all of the boxes. The colors are rich and beautiful. I've found that some of the well- known professional watercolors seem to separate from their binders inside the tubes and although kneading helps, I don't like that. I've not had that problem with Schmincke Horadam. Their paints are a bit expensive but I feel that the ease of use and feeling confident that my paintings will last for many, many years make them well worth the price. This little set gives a nice variety for anyone wishing to try them. I Highly Recommend these fabulous watercolors!

Schmincke watercolor is too of the line in watercolor paint quality. These tubes are small, 5ml tubes which are perfect for travel watercolor kits. That was my reason for purchasing them.The paint is highly pigmented, and crisp clean color.I'm disappointed in the tin. I have numerous tins from Schmincke pan sets, and those older tins are much better.For some reason, the metal on parts of the palette is not rolled, and being very thin, it is easy to cut yourself while handling, if not careful.I don't why if Schmincke has chosen to do this, whether to cut corners, or some other reason, but I will contact them personally on the newer pan and tube palettes I have purchased, as there seems to have been some decline in the quality of the tins.However, do not let that deter you from purchasing their paint, whether watercolor paints or oil paints.I have used their paint for decades, and it is exceptional quality. You can never go wrong with buying Schmincke paints.Watercolor artists often buy larger palettes for home or studio use, and use these types of pan sets for travel.I will still give five stars for paint quality, as that is the reason for this purchase.These paints are highly pigmented, the colors are clean, and the binder is just right, not too much. These are artist grade paints, suitable for professional work.Whether professional, or enthusiast, or student, it is good to have quality paint and at least one or two quality brushes.Using poor grade paint and brushes makes painting a more difficult experience, and you simply cannot get the same results.Schmincke is a great paint to have in your palette.In my opinion, you can't get better.This set, with the small tubes, makes for a good travel kit, or to try out more colors for less.

The media could not be loaded. The entire set is great except for one of the greens that is completely dry, I tried to rewet it but it didn’t work, looks with a weird texture and compared to the others tubes the paper looks yellow and old

These are my prized possessions. Every pan is rich and did I mention infused with honey? I keep them in the freezer when it gets too soft here in the tropics. Sumptuous artist quality paints.
