Perfect Cooler/Jobsite Lunchbox
I've been using my Engel 19qt Lunchbox for a few weeks now, and I'm absolutely blown away by its performance. This thing is a beast when it comes to keeping things cold. I use it mostly for work as a jobsite lunchbox. The ice stays frozen all day, even in scorching summer heat. The build quality is top-notch. It's sturdy, durable, and feels like it's built to last. The latches are secure, and the lid fits snugly, ensuring that nothing leaks out. The exterior is tough, and I've dropped it a few times without any damage.I love the versatility of this cooler. It's perfect for storing food and drinks, but it can also be used to keep other items cold, like medication or electronics. The compact size makes it easy to transport, and it fits perfectly in my backpack or cooler bag.Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my Engel 19qt Lunchbox. It's a fantastic product that's well worth the investment. If you're looking for a reliable, durable, and high-performing cooler, I highly recommend this one.

Used for lunchbox/cooler
Bought this for my husband, this is his second one as he decided to go back on the road and chose to get the same one again. the straps make it easy to carry, it keeps all his food and drinks cool. very sturdy as he’s pretty rough on the job site. would definitely recommend for a lunchbox/cooler

A great little mistake!
If you compare this to any Yeti product then you are comparing two different class products. This Engel Cooler Dry box 19qt compared to a Yeti Roadie 19qt quite frankly is no comparison. ($60 vs $249) I own them both for comparison. 1st The Engel's outside size it much smaller than a Yeti. Obviously this means less foam insulation. This is where it wins in certain situations. I use it for day trips, and road trips that I don't have the need for cold food or drinks past the 2 day mark. I also was concerned about the hinges like others on this cooler but it has performed great for me so far. I can see how it would be great as a lunch box as some other users claim. It does what is built to do. Keeps food cold, or keep your dry goods dry. 2nd This cooler is much lighter than a Yeti once again because it is not built to the same standard. I do use mine as a seat from time to time and have not had any issues @200 lbs. I have used this cooler on my boat and it performed great. I would suggest the Ice packs, or frozen waters to keep your items chilled because it is only 19 quarts.I actually bought this product because I thought it might have been the deal of the century Yeti like knock off. It is not a Yeti but I was not disappointed for the $60.00 price point. It is great little cooler for the money, it is just not a Yeti. Compare it more to a similarly priced product and you will find it is a gem. Engel does make coolers that are comparable to the Yeti in the Deep Blue series. This is where my initial confusion started because my research didn't spell out the differences in the cooler series. You would think I should have known the difference up front spending 1/4 of the money. My confusion yielded me a little useful cooler that I use quite often. It is a quality product that I can see lasting for years to come. Please compare the deep blue series Engel to the Yeti if you want a true comparison. It should be no surprise that the prices match as well as the coolers capabilities. This is a $60 cooler/dry box as it states.

Engel cooler
Bought this 19 quart drybox/cooler for my husband to use for work. He loved it and so did I as i was able to pack his breakfast, lunch and snacks without any issues of limited space. It was very roomy to fit all his food and drinks. I also liked that it had a little tray at top to separate his food from his badge, small notebook and pens he needed for work.

Excellent cooler for use as a lunch box
I work a construction job, so this cooler spends the day in the back of my truck, 5 days a week. I bought my 19QT a little over a year ago, and so far it has held up fine in the Texas sun. The top has discolored slightly, but it is expected. The cooler has remained leakproof, keeps lunch cold for the day with ice packs, and stays cold/cool for about 24hrs. Personally I don’t use the carry strap because it isn’t applicable to my use. It is by no means comparable to a Yeti in terms of ice retention, but I wasn’t expecting it to be. A lot of people buy certain brands because they are the current popular thing, and don’t consider their needs before buying. Many people I know buy a Yeti, then hardly use them bc they are so heavy. The 19QT Engel is lightweight and easy to carry. I’ve carried a comparable Yeti cooler, and boy are they heavy. In the right circumstance, I’d consider a Yeti, but the Engel combines adequate waterproofing, light weight, ease of use, and doubles as a seat at an excellent price point. If I could do anything, I might consider the next size up from the 19QT because it is a bit to small when I use the dry tray.

Glad I made the purchase
I bought this 19qt. cooler to use as a lunchbox for work. I'm in construction, & needed something that could hold up to a little bit of abuse on a daily basis, & this cooler seems to be built for just that. I like the fact it has a seal around the inside with the stainless latches to help keep out dust from construction sites. I do wish however that they used stainless hinges on the backside as well. I like that the inside & outside are smooth surfaces to help make wiping down & cleaning a little easier. Also, the smooth outside surface allows you to gussy it up a little bit with some stickers. The included tray is super nice as it allows you to keep things like gum/mints, pens/pencils, granola bars & things like that seperate. I've always prefered a hard, cubed cooler of some kind for work so I can sit on it if need be, & this cooler is plenty sturdy for just that (I'm 230lbs.). I carried the same Coleman lunch cooler for over 10 years so it was hard to make the switch, but I'm sure glad I did!

Must have!
I absolutely love it! It keeps everything wonderfully ice cold. I have nothing negative to say about it. It's also remarkably sturdy; one could even sit on it. This makes it quite handy for construction workers when chairs aren't available.
