Simple Privacy and Glare Reduction
The thin and affordable Bloss One Way Privacy Window Film offered a straightforward and effective way to boost daytime privacy in my living room. Application was simple thanks to the static cling; it adhered smoothly with just soapy water and was easy to cut and position. The immediate daytime privacy was noticeable, creating a reflective exterior that limited outside visibility while maintaining my interior view. Glare reduction was also a plus. Though long-term adhesion is yet to be seen, initial application feels secure. Remember nighttime privacy requires curtains. Overall, this thin, affordable film is a practical and aesthetically pleasing choice for daytime privacy and glare reduction on smooth glass.

Tint is very dark, objects are blurred
I looked around in a well lit room and could barely see things. Could not make out anything in the shadows and barely tell what things were that had light shining on them. When I saw 10% VLT in the description, I expected to be able to see through this in a lit room.If only the review left on 5/27 was left one week earlier...I would have known. My purpose was for a Mandalorian helmet visor and this won't work.EDIT: After communicating with the seller, I was able to try a different tint that DID work well. The seller was excellent to deal with. Also, upon reading through the entire details of the listing for this original item, I did see a blurb that mentioned you could only "see lightly through it" and that it wasn't necessarily crisp. I did bump the rating up from 2 to 4 stars because the product itself wasn't bad for what it is designed for.If I was looking for tint to block out sunlight and UV and didn't care to see through it, this would be great.Since I was looking for tint that could be used as a visor, the "dark black/silver" did not suffice. The replacement option did though, which was black/silver:https://www.amazon.com/Bloss-Non-Adhensive-Reflective-Blocking-Black-Silver/dp/B09WY3TB3N/ref=sr_1_21?crid=ZJ6O7EELZWY3&keywords=one+way+window+film&qid=1654052816&sprefix=one+way+window+fil%2Caps%2C370&sr=8-21

Easy to cut/size, beautiful prism colors
Wanted a 1/2 door privacy for NIGHT and day. This product met that need and looks absolutely beautiful. My husband even likes it! During the day the light shining through gives off prism type colors based on what's outside. The pattern made it super easy to hide the dividing line, we did a side by side to fill from left to right. I cut a creative top so it wasn't flat. The top half of our glass door we used day privacy window film, at night you can see in, the top only, which we cover with a mini blind. (TMI this is a door and the blinds all break at the door knob, so now we only draw it down to just above the door knob.)

Just takes patience!
I’ll admit that this was a learning experience & I ended up wasting way too much but thankfully, I had just enough to complete my project. I’ve added a pic to show the beginning of it & after taking almost all day to finish just 4 of the 6 window panes, I am taking a well deserved break. Keep in mind that I am not good at figuring these kinda projects out easily where it would probably take the average person half the amount of time.Tips on application: I read a review from another that said she forgot to remove the clear backing before applying & I’ll be danged if I didn’t catch myself doing the same thing! So BE SURE TO REMEMBER THAT FIRST! lolI followed the manufacturer’s instructions & it worked beautifully. I kept a bowl of warm soapy water beside me & after peeling the back off, I used a sponge to apply a little of the soapy water. Don’t put too much on because it’ll drive you nuts trying to squeegee it all out. Naturally, I learned that the hard way. It’s no deal breaker tho. You can just wipe it off & start again. As for the squeegee that I just mentioned, I forgot to order one & ended up using my Cricut scraper & it worked fine. Even a credit card would work.Reflecting on what I’ve accomplished so far, I feel like the rest will go much faster & I’ll then move on to my next window project using the same stuff. The material is of high quality & an excellent value for the money. Overall, I would highly recommended! As for all of the negative reviews, I can speak from experience now & say that they evidently didn’t follow the directions. NOTE: I actually lost the instructions that came with it so I went back to the product page here & followed those instructions. I’m assuming they are the same. Best wishes on your project. I think that you’ll be equally as pleased as I am.
