Which kits do i need to purchase for a 30ft. above ground pool?  I will need to leave an opening for a ladder.

Scott,I have an above ground 16 x 32 oval pool with one side open to our large deck. I used 2 base kits. However, to determine how many kits you need, you must count your panels (spaces between) between your wall uprights. That will give you the amount of sections you need. I ordered two "base" kits to do 14 sections and had some left over. Just know that they sell another kit...I think that is to finish off the ends, so check it out online. The fence supports mount on your pool wall uprights. That means that you will have to leave an entire section open in order to use your ladder. I had to customize some of the vinyl fence supports to mount to the railing around my deck (because of insurance reasons, I could have no open fence areas around the pool since I have steps into the pool from the deck, not a removable ladder). I used a drill and a Dremel tool to modify some of the vinyl uprights which was not too difficult to do and then mounted them to the large deck rail uprights on my deck to finish off my installation. Maybe you can create a removable panel where your ladder goes in? That way you can completely close off your pool when it is not in use in case a child were to try to climb over the wall.You should know that you need to cut EACH section to size and that will take some careful measurement and cutting. The whole installation took me a day and a half, working alone without any other help. Just remember to measure twice and cut once since I don't recall any extra pieces being in the kit!I am pleased with the product and it saved me from having my insurance cancelled and having to fence in a very large yard...so it was worth every penny. I have an index 24'. i counted 24 poles around the pool. does this mean i need 3 base kit a's--8 sections?

I have a 24' foot round pool. It has 16 uprights around it. Each base kit has 8 sections. A fence section goes from upright to upright. You can subtract the number of uprights that are covered by your deck if you want, but I bought two base kits (16 sections) it did my whole pool and I had 3 sections leftover from the sections my deck covered.
