WORK GREAT!
Have tried $5000 RIC aids...they worked but, at the time my hearing (I didn't think) was that bad...3 years ago.Got by for a few years with the ITC aids but they would only last about a year (if I was lucky) and the feedback was very annoying. One of the great things about RIC aids is that the mic's are behind your ear...a long way from the speaker in your year mitigating feedback screeching (unless you have volume cranked way up). I did have a problem with one of the aids making my ear sore where the wire touched my ear. I wore that one on and off until my ear toughened up. One thing I like is you can actually turn off/mute the rear mics. This is a feature that I use quite often if in a restaurant or sitting next to a hard wall where sound is reflected. Yes...$100 amplifiers work but not for long and the feed back sucks. The Neosonics are expensive but not $5000 expensive. Each aid is quality! The charger with it's magnetic aid attachment is quality. It's only been about 3 months but at this point I would highly recommend.Addendum: Approx 6 months after purchasing, the right ear's aid battery began to fail. Previously it was good for at least 16 hours...and more. I contacted Neosonic and Patricia ask me to send in the appliance. After about a week, a new (or repaired) hearing amplifier arrived. It been several weeks since I received and the battery is back to holding a charge for 16+ hours. Still happy with the amplifiers and happy I purchase the extended warranty insurance.

They suck
Purchased April 4th - 2 weeks ago the right hearing aid would turn itself off, hit the power switch it would come back on a few minutes later it would power down. Its currently in for repair. Today May 29th picked up the hearing aid from the charger it would not power on. Charger is on with green light, to no avail I can not get the device to power on. So they lasted long enough to get past the warranty to return them for a full refund - well no refund at all So I am out $600. I had expensive hearing aids for over 10 years never had a problem. I will throw these away and get ones I can trust will work.As far as quality - the expensive hearing aids only amplify the range of sound that your ears have difficulty with. When I would take them that range was the only thing that dropped. These are basically sound amplifiers(everything) when I take these out I feel like I have gone deaf because everything drops.

SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THESE EARLIER
I have had declining hearing for a couple of years, am now in early 80s. I spent several months researching hearing devices and soon learned that paying thousands for them would likely not get me a superior result to the over-the-counter ones. Of the different styles--such as in-the-ear, or behind-the-ear with a thin wire leading to the receiver in the ear canal -- I became partial to the latter because it seemed the design allowed for more space for necessary components. I chose Neosonic because articles and reviews gave their behind-the-ear devices high marks, and the price was reasonable. Have been trialing these for 4 weeks and can say the quality of daily life is greatly improved for me! Such a pleasure not to constantly ask husband & others to repeat themselves & to hear normal volume on the tv. Can participate in conversation in a noisy environment now, like a crowded restaurant, and get most of it. And so sweet to hear birdsong & other ambient sounds clearly! I found it easy to get the hang of the controls to make adjustments, and the brain makes adjustments in quite short order too. The small case is not visible behind the ear, and the very thin wire into the ear is hardly noticeable. They are rechargeable, and come with several dome sizes to choose from. I am happy with these and hope my positive experience will help others with their decision.

Works well for voice situations
I bought these after I broke one of my professional Phonax hearing aides. They work very well watching TV or in normal conversations. I will update this review after a few months of use in high noise environments.

Doesn't life up to claims
Speech sounds more natural with these hearing aids than it does with my Britzko BHA 220s; but my Britzko’s cost $112 for the pair, while these cost $600, so I expected more than just that.I thought I would be getting the claimed noise reduction when I switched to program 2 or 4, which are the ones that turn on the second, rear, microphone in each hearing aid. The microphones came on, but the only difference I could notice was that the highs dropped out.The claim is that the hearing aids will be more sensitive to sound from the front while diminishing sounds from the rear, but my tests indicated that sounds were the same loudness either way.Disappointing. I have returned them.

Neosonic is a winner!
The comfort and amplification on this hearing product is wonderful. I have utilizing hearing devices for over 15 years; purchased and used Audicus, Seimen's,and Kirkland Signature all with professional audio-grams. The Neosonic's decibel increase is easy to control and individually controllable for each ear. I use the number 3, at 1 beep, for the left ear and number 1 at the 3rd beep for the right ear. Which allows me to hear in all environments much clearer then before with little, if any feedback.Another feature that Neosonic provides is that it hold's your custom setting when turned off or during charging. So much simpler then having to open the aid to turn off, and then reset with each use. This is my first experience with a rechargeable aid, and I really do like the feature. I wear the aids all awake hours and find that the charge lasts. The convenience of setting the aids in the magnetic charging base is simple and certainly beats buying batteries all of the time. For the price, many other aids cost thousands, it would be difficult to find a better product.
