Great read. Very helpful. Give it a shot. I dare ya.
What I found most helpful in the book was the concept of: Does it bring you Freedom? Does it bring you Love? Does it make you feel alive? Does it bring you peace? I remember it as FLAP.I appreciate it because it helps me stay in the present tense, curious about the people and world in front of me.I’m a team player that for the last 10 years has been working by myself. It’s hard. I’m in residential real estate. I don't love what I do but I do it for the right reasons. I grew up with a very absent father. I didn't want my kids to have that same experience. This profession allows me to make my own schedule. It allowed me to never miss a dance recital, basketball game or talent show.Real estate coaching is very goal oriented. I struggled with that. A lot of the coaching I had focused on your “Big Why.” Your big why was a lighthouse, a beacon you focused on and sailed towards.I could never come up with a big "why." It never motivated me. I was just trying to get through the week. Pay the bills. Keep all the balls in the air. It was all very future oriented.I struggle with “long term planning”. Long term to me is next week. I wrote goals. They turned out to be more like a list of things to get done. What most others in my world would consider short term goals. I felt like a rudderless sail boat with no lighthouse in sight most of the time. I'd reach my little “goals” and feel good for about 10 seconds at best. These feelings were compounded when I lost my wife to breast cancer leaving me with three teenage daughters to raise. Working in a 100% commissioned based job was hard with a capital H. Putting on a smile and showing people homes took everything I had for a long time but the bills needed to be paid.I am only sharing all this because Tripp's approach, the approach he shares in the book, would have been very helpful as I white- knuckled my way through much of my career…. and life.Things are better now. I have launched all those teenage girls into college and they are great humans with big hearts that are thriving.I am now using FLAP to launch my second act. I have some fear and anxiety about that. I am finding the book VERY helpful right now because as I chart where to go from here I can let go of all the goal oriented, future thinking training I struggled with for so many years. I have a different way of thinking and seeing things. I am enjoying staying present and curious and seeing what opportunities show up.

Every man will benefit from reading
I liked the video summations at the end of every chapter. How men ultimate desires in life are broken down into only four goals,

This book will make you “Bold”
The above title for this book would be more appropriate. It teaches many interesting principles and methods to survive this world and overcome personal hindrances. It is a good and instructive read though the same could have conveyed without the use of fowl, gross and vulgar language used throughout the book.

Skeptical at first
I was skeptical about "This Book Will Make You Dangerous" by Tripp Lanier at first, but boy was I wrong! I mean, it's not like I was expecting to become a ninja assassin or anything, but I was definitely NOT expecting to become the life of the party after reading it. I mean, I've always been a bit of a wallflower, but now, I'm like the flower that's on fire and everyone wants to be around it.So what's in the book? Well, it's like a secret manual for taking over the world... or at least taking over any room you walk into. It's like a combination of Tony Robbins, Gandalf, and a bottle of tequila all rolled into one. I swear, after reading this book, I felt like I could talk to anyone about anything. I mean, I even had a conversation with my cat about quantum physics and he was really into it!But it's not just about talking, oh no. This book will also teach you how to walk, sit, and stand like a boss. I mean, I always thought good posture was just for people who wanted to look taller, but now I know that it's actually a secret weapon for taking over the world. I can't tell you how many times I've used my newfound powers of standing up straight to get a better seat on the subway. It's like a Choose Your Own Adventure book, but instead of choosing between fighting a dragon or swimming across a river, you're choosing between being a boring person or a dangerous one.So what are you waiting for? Go buy this book right now and start your journey to becoming the most dangerous person you know. Just don't blame me if you end up taking over the world, because I warned you.

Meh…it’s ok
One thing about “self-help” books you can always count on it fluff and I see a lot of fluff. Other reviews so it’s straightforward and no bs, but to my brain it’s a bunch of filler stories and examples. Are there some good tips or actionable items in here? Sure, but if you’ve already heard most of it and put it into practice, it’s not much here for you. I finally got time to read it and it’s too late to return it so here we are…another book I’ll never touch again
