I must admit that I was skeptical about how much oil this little pump could remove from the top fill of my Briggs and Stratton 625e (Poulan Self Propelled Lawnmower). However, I was pleasantly surprised with both the ease of pump setup and the effectiveness in removing the old oil. From start to finish the entire process couldn't have been more than 15 minutes. Great tool for servicing your lawn mower or any other small combustion engine powered equipment. Highly recommend!

Makes it so much easier to change oil on small engines with no drain plug.

I was not sure this would be as easy to use for suction removal of oil from small engines, but it works surprisingly well. I was able to quickly remove engine oil from a lawnmower not equipped with a drain plug, as well as a zero turn mower which engine has a drain plug, but in a very hard to reach spot. The only issue, and the reason I did not review with 5 stars is the plastic hose supplied with this unit is very stiff and sort of permanent-wound into a tight circle, making it tough to manage the orientation of the tubing. I tried heating the plastic tubing with a hair dryer to relax the tight curves in using, to no avail. Otherwise, this unit does a decent job of sucking up oil from engine interior. It is best to run the engine to warm up oil a bit to cause the oil to flow easily into the collection device.Capacity of collection tank is a little less than two quarts.

It works as advertised... you need to make sure you push the hose through the stopper, just a small amount to insure there is a tight seal. I was able to extract the oil easily and without the mess. It is best to place the opposite side of the lawn mower on 2x4 blocks to make sure much of the oil gets to the side where the siphon hose is located. Make sure you warm up the engine for a few minutes, making oil less viscous and easier to suction out. You may have to move the hose around a little bit as you are inserting it through the hole of the dipstick... This is to ensure the hose is at the bottom of reservoir.The only real issue is cleaning out the hose of residual oil.. I used air from air compressor to get most of the oil out of hose.Now I want to try it out on my Honda generator.This system is much easier than having to get underneath the mower and trying to locate the drain plug...

I changed the oil in three gas engines in 15 minutes.Much easier and way faster to siphon dirty oil out of oil fill than to go under bottom of mower and remove drain plug.

Quick and easy removal of the old oil in your lawn equipment. Even though B&S sale a more that says you don’t need to change the oil ever. Do the smart thing change the oil and use this easy removal tool for the old oil when you do it.Make sure to pick up a bottle of new oil while tou are picking this up.

Very impressed with this. Work was done on a Briggs and Stratton lawn mower motor. Did very good work of removing oil from bottom of engine. Liked how the oil went right into the recovery bottle, not having to tilt mower onto the side to drain into a pan, then having to drain pan into something different.When filling with new oil, put 3 oz short of what it is required, recheck oil and add as necessary, just in case the drain tube is not able to go the bottom of some engines.
