Love it nice thick but not to thick consistency clear, feels good on skin. This wonderful plant has so many uses. I will share with you all that I know from experience, I use Aloe in multiple ways and any time I come across something new and it looks interesting I give it a try then pass it on to others. Be warned this stuff tastes gross if you plan to drink or swallow it drink fruit juice or some fairly strong tasting immediately after because it is rather irksome, but do not use coffee did that oh it was so disgusting and stomach turningExternally1 It accelerates the healing process of wounds, burns, dry cracked and scaly skin. 2 Moisturizes re-hydrates and softens skin, it immensely helps to relieve sunburn if you have one that is painful or severely itchy put aloe in a bottle 5 or 6 oz add about 2 drops of pure clove oil mix thoroughly and use like lotion it acts like a novocaine numbing the area it is applied to , clove oil is strong so it doesn't take much to do the trick. I've been using this trick for years3 Conditions moisturizes and nourishes hair and also helps it grow better, adding it to hair conditioner and shampoo, I mix it with skin cream it works well. 4 This is wonderful for dry or itching scalp and skin to about 4 oz of Aloe add 1 drop of pure clove oil mix well and apply to itchy area the clove numbs the itch while it and the Aloe moisturize, this same mix can also be added to skin cream hair conditioner and shampoo, as well as liquid body soap, it also works well on sunburn reducing pain and irritation. I've been using it for years. 5 mixed with a little water in a spray bottle it makes an excellent all natural styling gel and does a great job holding hair in place, or you can rub some of the gel on your hands and do it that wayInternally1 Cleanses the system promotes healing. 2 It is Known to help adjust the digestion system and reduce excess stomach acid my friend used it for this it helped a lot. 3 For sensitive or sore gums mix some with a little water and keep it in your mouth for as long as you can without swallowing, then swallow after if you want. This is also great to 1 teaspoon of aloe add 1 drop of clove oil to relieve sore irritated gums or mouth both clean, aloe starts the healing process while clove numbs, clove also acts as an antiseptic this can be mixed with water to make a mouth washFor women feminine hygiene4 This is an excellent feminine cleansing agent to 1 cup of boiling water add 1 tablespoon of rosemary turn off heat cover it with a lid and let it steep like tea for about 20 or 30 minutes, when cool strain about 3 tbs aloe, or 4 if you want it stronger more water can be added to make the douche mix. With fresh Rosemary in a bowl or sauce pan crush 1 sprig a bit this releases it's natural oils and juices Rosemary is a natural cleansing agent and astringent pour 1 cup hot water over it cover and steep for 20 min add 2 or 3 tablespoons of aloe.5 This same concoction is excellent when at the start of or already have a yeast infection rosemary helps kill it for mine I add 5 pinches of salt it also helps clean and kill it and works very well, store bought medicine takes 7 days, the herb mix usually kills it in 2 to 3. These herbs are natural cleansers and can also be used for the same purpose Thyme, Lavender also kills pain, Sage, Lemon small amounts 1 drop of each, optional I also add baby shampoo sometimes. Please Note, you can make larger batches for 2 days put half away in the fridge there's no problem. For those who want to drink the aloe I suggest you take it followed by a fruit juice or whatever you like because the taste is gross but it isn't overpoweringly strong so no worries there

Love this stuff. Have taken it for many years !AT THE VERY ONSET OF SHINGLES..SHINGLES****SHINGLES****SHINGLESRub the area 3x a day and take internally 1 TBSP in a glass of orange juice or your preference drink. 3x a day. I have had shingles 9x. It completely clears up and gone within 3 days. It has been gone with approx 36 hours. If it has already set in good, I would do it for a week to 10 days. I have never had to go over 3 days.I have learned now by the deep feeling in the skin and the feeling of my skin when they are coming on and I start applications immediately.The first time I had them, I thought it was a spider bite. It looked and felt just like one I had 3 years prior. However, the doctor did a culture and a week later I get a letter in the mail saying it was shingles. I was shocked.Around the 4th time that I had them, I had purchased some similar to this at a health food store. Within 2 days they were gone. The next time they came, I did it again to see if that is what healed them and sure enough they went right away.I try to recommend this to anyone I meet. It is a life saver believe me. It works!UPDATE12/11/2017SHINGLES MIRACLEThe stomach formula aloe or the aloe gel taken 3-4 x a day got rid of my shingles 6 x already. Take it by spoon or in orange juice. I despise the taste, but totally worth it.It was purely by accident that I found out with the stomach form, then gel products later. I keep in my fridge at ALL times now. I found out by pure mistake having stomach issues on round 6 of shingles in 2012. Since, I have had them 6 more times due to stress levels.Every single time since then, I immediately start the process on first sign of them. This is a proven, tried and true for me. It takes them completely away. This was a lifesaver for me. I do not do without it. I would probably never get them again if I could make myself take it daily.I just order the brown bottles of gel from Amazon and get the aloe cooling gel (really any kind, solarcaine, Walgreens brand, etc. to apply to the sores.In 3 days, they are gone. Really bad ones, probably take at least a week. The faster you catch them, the quicker they go and a lot less painful. This is a Miracle worker for me. There is nothing as painful as the shingles.If you are an Amazon Primer, it can be at your door the next day paying the extra, but totally worth it.I am not working for Amazon nor Lily of Desert, but simply informing you on the quickest way to get relief from these nasty are painful things. I did not drink this - instead I used it to soothe my skin when it was irritated and it worked wonderfully well! I have ordered another bottle and will try taking it orally to see if it helps when I get a little indigestion.

A must if you are into making your own personal products!

I have had aloe vera gel in the past and it was more consistent in texture and smelled better than this. This is glumpy -- very liquid in places and very thick in others. Shake very well before using to make it a bit more consistent. Still, does not really put me in mind of aloe vera, despite the claims of 100% pure aloe. In all I am pleased with the purchase but not enthusiastic about it.
