I’ve wanted an hourglass ever since I was a little kid. I keep this on my desk and it motivates me to just FOCUS until the sand runs out. I bought the gold one, and there is a slightly greenish tint to the sand, but that doesn’t bother me. It feels like good quality glass and it came very carefully packaged in a styrofoam mold.

Used as an ornament for kitchen

Its lovely. The sandwich sparkles and its great quality. Very accurate timer also.

This item arrived very well packed and presented, I had concerns that it might have been damaged in transit but I think there's little chance of that happening. I'm pleased with this hourglass although it isn't perfect. When polished the glass looks good, it's a nice ornament, particularly if it catches the sun. The grains are a nice sparkly gold colour It's surprisingly accurate and quite consistent when all the grains flow through, but occasionally it suffers a blockage, normally towards the end of the hour and needs to be tapped for it to restart. Most of my timings took between 60m 20s and 60m 55s, although this may vary for each individual hourglass. It's difficult to know what affects the timing or causes a blockage. I use it on my desk in a room that's normally around 20-22C and out of direct sunlight. As it's a sealed unit humidity shouldn't be an issue, but I don't know if it's filled with an inert gas or if there is some residual water vapour within the glass that might affect it's performance. Sometimes a very small number of grains are left stuck to the glass in the upper bulb after all the rest have run through, a light tap on the glass with a pencil and they disappear through the hole in a second. This makes me think that it might not be filled with an inert gas. Although I could simply use the timer on my mobile phone, I sometimes use the hourglass to try to finish specific tasks within an hour.

Fantastic product and so cute even purchased another one to go on my feature shelf wall.

Accurate and looks amazing

When I first got it I was super happy with this product, but having used it for a couple weeks I believe there's one or two bits of sand that are just too big - sometimes the timer will just stop randomly which can be very frustrating!
