Cat grooming brush
A nice pliable soft brush that glides through cat fur. Really easy to clean also.

The cat resists innovation
The Previous Cat (RIP) was fluffy and long-haired and spat hairballs with monotonous regularity for 17 years, however there were fewer of them after when we discovered the miracle that is zoom groom. It collects hair and sort of binds it together so you can bin a matted lump.Previous cat relished zoom grooming, demanding nightly attention, at 10pm, with lights out to follow! The Current Cat, coaxed inside from sleeping rough under hedges, is wary of human touch. I looked for a zoom groom but couldn't find one locally, so we began brushing her with a wire detangler to get her used to handling, while I found zoom groom online. While she now asks to be brushed both morning and evening, she was affronted when we introduced the zoom groom. She is not good with novelty so I will wait a while and try again.I recommend the zoom groom to any cat owner, it will help get more fur and fluff into the bin than onto your person.

My new cat loves it!
I've had my eight year old black short haired kitty for less than a week from a rescue. She was previously an outdoor cat but as she's adjusting to her new home, she needs to be kept indoors where there's heating. As a result, she's started moulting.I tried one of those 'glove type' brushes but very little hair came away, then I decided to give this Zoom Goom a go.Wow... despite not knowing me very well the cat lay on the floor purring contentedly whilst I brushed her with this. Even letting me go against the direction of growth which really got the loose hair from underneath. I was even privileged enough to brush her belly! After only a few minutes there was a huge pile of fluff that I'd collected out of the brush and inevitably there was loads floating around in the air. My hands, clothes and face were soon covered in fur but I'd rather that than it ending up inside my cat and causing hairballs. For the price, this simple brush is highly effective and a real bargain.

Great product for rabbits!
I don't have cats but I do have two very hairy rabbits who moult frequently. With such very fine hair and very, very sensitive skin, other products can be harsh but Zoom Grooms are great! They are soft enough not to hurt the delicate skin but the prongs hang on to the loose fur and help grab it out of the coat into the Zoom Groom rather than all over my carpet and other furniture (and clothes!)Because rabbits constantly self- and alo-groom they natually ingest large amounts of fur which is completely natural but it can cause problems at the time of moulting so this product is also very helpful in maintaining a healthy and motile digestive tract

Does the job
It's easy to hold IF your cat likes being groomed, keeps still and doesn't hate you going under their belly! I would prefer a grooming tool with a long handle. It's also really difficult to get the fur off, bit annoying. I usually end up washing it in soapy water every time then declogging the sink hole. But in terms of the actual job of grooming, it does a really great job and seems very comfortable for my cat. He's shorthair but the undercoat is very fine, thick and fluffy so a regular metal comb is hard to get through. This gets all the loose fur without unnecessary pulling. It could do with being a bit thicker or having at least a small handle to make it easier to hold.

Cat spa massage
I decided to give the zoom groom five stars because my darling house cat found it very relaxing. He's a moggy, and would be classed as semi longhair, with a small ruff, underbelly and britches, and a fat fluffy tail. His fur is silky and fine, but it's extremely thick, especially his undercoat. His longest furry areas are about 3inches long.I tried getting him used to a gentle brushing since he was a young boy, but it always turned into a game of rough housing, I would always stop as soon as he lost self control so he wouldn't think it was a game, but failed in the end. It got to the point where he'd get excited and frisky when he saw me get the comb. So in the end I just gave up. I had a cheapo plastic comb because I thought it was a waste to invest in proper combs and brushes, and I'd occasionally run it through gently, down his back and on either side, sometimes the tail, but basically I am not to comb/brush anywhere else (his rules, not mine *eye roll*)The zoom groom has basic instructions that say to brush in a circular motion. It is very soft despite how spiky it looks, which is good because cats have delicate skin. My cat enjoyed it, like a massage, it was able to loosen up the fur in his undercoat, not much actually came off with the zoom groom, but I was then able to gently comb through the loosened fur and I got a decent amount of loose hairs out using the finer comb. What you see in the picture came from his sides and back using the fine comb. Although I still used the comb, the zoom groom help detangle and loosen things up. He found it very relaxing, purring and making the cutest sounds, so over all I am pleased with the product. He did try chewing the spikes, so I will have to hide it when not in use from the brat. But even if it doesn't remove much fur, I still recommend it because you can use it to massage and bond with your cat/kitten.
