They are excellent price-to-value items.Learn how to fit them in a safe environment on a driveway.Go slowly 10-15 mph.You will probably get dirty when fitting them, so wear something for that occasion.I tested it on ice, snow, and steep hills - it worked like a charm.

I purchased these after going back to a fwd car from having a 4wd car.While I was a little sceptical with their light weight compared to my last chains, these did the job fantastically!These are for use on my VW touran.The chains are straight forward enough to fit if you have fitted them before.... I would advise practicing fitting them in more favourable conditions if you haven't.I coved about 3 miles in total on them and the only thing of note was that on 205/55/16 you will probably have to move the red hooks that the tension chain runs through.I have had no broken or damaged links at all.Golden rules really are:Don't spin wheels with them fittedTry to keep under 25mph if possibleTake them off if you get to a road that isn't covered in snow/ice.Check the tension and adjust if needed after about 1/4 mile.If they make noises like a loose chain .. stop immediately and readjust as needed!Overall 5 stars! Unlike many reviews on these chains, I have fitted and used them when they were needed. They have proven very useful and are fit to be used many more times if I need them.Many times cheaper than snow tyres particularly useful when you live in the UK

They fitted

As France now has laws for winter driving you have two options. Winter tyres on all four wheels or snow chains for the drive axel. Cheapest option snow chains. You don’t need two sets of tyres.
