'About this item' clearly states: "Not recommended for use on oil or acrylic paintings"

I use blue painters tape and it sticks very well.

Q: Is the paper acid free?

Translucent Paper Neutral ph Glassine is important and essential for many reasons. In the art field, museums and art galleries use glassine to wrap valuable paintings. The glassine protects the work from moisture and stops acid and alkaline chemical reactions from the air from attacking the surface. Pastelists find glassine ideal for protecting delicate pastel paintings. Glassine is also 100% recyclable. I don't know if it is acid-free, but maybe you could contact the manufacturer? It works very well for me.

Q: Can this be used to wrap no bake cookies?

I don't see why not. It's acid free and fairly non-stick. I use it to wrap artwork and other craft purposes.
