My cats are 17. One of them has long hair. A lot of mats near her tail. I called around to several pet stores and none of them really had what I wanted. A couple of them recommended brushes and a couple of them recommended taking my cat to the groomer or the vet to get her shaved or the mats cut off.I had been using a FURminator previously.I wanted to try one more thing before taking her to the groomer by the vet. Because she’s old and I didn’t want to stress her out.This stuff is amazing. It helped to soften the mats which made them easier to brush out. And it makes her first smell good. There are also really helpful suggestions for removing mats on the side of the bottle..I also bought the magic paws grooming series brush as well and thatIt took a few sessions but I was able to remove the large mats.

We have a labradoodle with sensitive skin and allergies. To avoid her scratching we don’t bathe her often. Also because of the type of fur she has (a mix of straight and curly) she tangles very very bad.I started purchasing this product two years ago and it stops her from smelling for weeks between baths! It is also the only thing that prevents her from getting matted fur.I accidentally ran out and thought I would just brush and wash her as normal, but it was a huge mistake. Not only did she end up so matted that we had to have her groomed, but her skin was a mess. She had a rash and scratched herself until she was bleeding. I ordered another bottle washed her and sprayed her down good and she immediately stopped scratching. My house also smells so much better now that she has her “lotion” as we call it, on. This product is a must have for any dog with fur that tangles easily or has skin allergies!!

Thick spraying on but nice smell and makes the hair looks nice and glossy, not greasy.

First time purchase for a Maltese with matting hair. Purchased the shampoo conditioner also for the total product experience. The shampoo/conditioner does not bubble up and expand so I ended up using more product that usual but pet was clean with no residue after bath and had no itching the whole week. Detangeler/conditioner works awesome. Put on while wet immediately after bath and then blow dried. Hair was somewhat stiff the first day but once combed returned to her original softness. One week later and matted hair is significantly easier to comb out. Did not use the scissors once in her whole body. Definitely will buy again. But... packing on detangler/conditioner is terrible! Squeeze action trigger did not work had to pour into my hand and then apply. It had leaked into the package and I was only able to retrieve about half of the bottle from the shipping bag. Definitely needs a new spray bottle design!
