Q: Do they cut through thick paper like photos?

No in fact they are actually really hard to just cut through regular computer paper my kids can’t even use it without help. They are really small and hard to hold so they haven’t been much use to me at all

Q: Does this come in a larger version? My preschoolers LOVE these but the cut outs are so small they lose track of them while they are working.

I bought for 6 year old for birthday present. He loves them. don't know if come larger or not. Maybe google manufacture with your concern.
