Works for the price point, product is generally as expected except that these palettes do not lie completely open and flat on my desk. For me that's pretty annoying to have a palette see-sawing up and down when trying to mix colors. It's easy enough to fix by putting a paper towel or two underneath on side like a wobbly table.

If you put watercolors in them and leave say a puddle of watercolor. Make sure it dries before you take it anywhere because it will spill out. If you leave any of the watercolor paste in the side compartments when it dries they fall out and go everywhere when you try to open it. They do not stay in their little spaces. I expected them to but it was my first palette.

I have used these for watercolors and they are a great deal for the price!There is plenty of space for all the colors and a decent amount of space for mixing!I'm sure it can be useful for more than just watercolors too.

I've found the palettes to be poorly constructed, as neither one would close properly. The reason for this is that the tab that is supposed to keep them closed does not snap into the notch on the opposite end as it should due to improper alignment.They are still usable as studio palettes if left open, but as compact foldable palettes, they are not up to the job.
