Bye Bye Spider Webs!
These cables are a godsend! We have three phones and multiple ipads in our house. One phone takes a USB C cable, another a Micro USB plug and the third is an Apple Lightning cable plus the ipads that are frequently in need of charging. We also have even older phones for the youngest kids. We were beginning to feel like we lived in a spider web.Not to mention that the children were breaking 1 or two cables every week trying to play while charging or when unplugging the cable. The cost was mounting out of control. Now we've got these wonderful cables so if the kids bend the plug, the magnet will just fall off rather than the plug breaking off! We haven't replaced a cord in over two weeks now!We have set up a charging station on an end table with a few cords for the kids (plus put a cable in other strategic locations around the house... like cables on the adults' headboards) and the kids have learned to be responsible for keeping their own electronics charged or do without. (Did I say that horrible word that all kids hate? Yep, I did and they've learned a valuable lesson.)The ABSOLUTE BEST part is that one cable will charge any of the items listed above. This is extra nice because we don't need to carry cables with us when we get into the car.Dirt on the magnet can be a problem, but they are easy to wipe clean. The only thing that is a little annoying is that we have a few older items (old phones that can still be used to access the internet when the ipads are in use or charging and my pocket keyboard that is also a touch pad mouse) that take a mini USB and we can't find the little plug piece anywhere. I didn't dock a star for that because I was aware of this fact before purchasing.Edit: It's been nearly two months and I'm still very happy with the cables, but I am glad I ordered multiple packages of them. We needed extra little plugs for our apple devices. We have now had THREE of the plugs for the iphones fail. The magnet falls off the electronic component and no matter how hard I've tried to relocate it and superglue it back into location, they simply refused to charge the apple products. As I said above, these are wonderful cables. We have four ipads and an iphone in the house along with two android phones. We are glad to have the ability of using one cable to charge all devices... but it would be nice if they didn't keep breaking. (The cables are great, it's the little plugs that break.)Edit:Approaching two years and I am still EXTREMELY satisfied with these cables. I have discovered that they have about a 20% power loss (When using the USB C cable in my phone it says it will take 2 hours to charge, but when using the magnetic cables, it will say 2 hours and 24 minutes.) but it is still well worth that loss. I am still using three of the original cables I purchased and our family has purchased a few more boxes so we can have more cables in various locations. (In the kitchen, the bathroom, by the dining table, in the game room, next to the couch/chair/loveseat in the TV room as well as the bedrooms. Not to mention that with 4 kids, we now need multiple cords in each car.)

Big improvement over regular cables. Pros and Cons
Mostly, I love these:* Since you have tips which stay permanently in the USB (or i-device) socket, your phone's charging port never gets full of pocket lint and needs cleaning.* There's less chance of damage to your charging port, from exceeding the thousands of connect/disconnect cycles the port can handle, to pushing/pulling at an angle and damaging it. Since I always get phones with replaceable batteries, the USB charging port is the part that fails and forces me to upgrade my phone.* The L-shaped cables swivel very easily, and disconnect if you pull on them, preventing damage to your device.* The magnetic cables connect very easily, you just get your device within an inch of the cable and it'll magnetically connect up, itself. No fumbling around in the dark trying to plug in your charging cable.* No need to swap changing cables when you want to switch between charging older micro usb devices versus newer usb-c devices. And it's so easy to connect/disconnect devices, lots of places I previously had two cables, I only need one.* The charging cables are thin, light and flexible, including the 10ft lengths. Typically, longer USB cables get rather thick, heavy and inflexible, making them unpleasant to use.* These seem to be compatible with other, similar looking magnetic charging cables & tips, if you (or a friend) have already got a set, or in case are concerned about these being out of stock when you need to buy more in the future.CONS:* No Mini USB tips available anywhere for older devices you need to charge... Think: portable bluetooth speakers, AA/AAA battery chargers, etc. For those you'll need a micro USB (or type C) to mini USB adapter, which are too big to be left plugged-in to you devices, where a magnetic mini USB tip would work.* The straight, non L-shape cables are less useful. They lose their connection whenever you tug on the cable just a bit. Anywhere you're going to be using your phone/tablet while it's plugged-in, I'd stick with L-shape cables. The straight cables are okay in my travel bag, and perhaps my car, where little annoyances like that won't matter so much for as relatively rarely as they're used.* I HATE the blinding bright blue LED shining out the rear and sides, making it difficult to sleep in the same room as your phone is charging. The LED shining out the front is fine, where you can see it when nothing is connected but gets blocked when a device is plugged-in. Black electrical tape minimally works to block the light but doesn't stay on very well and still has some gaps. My better fix was buying small container of black nail polish; it works but was still difficult to work into all the small notches where light leaks through and took a couple attempts. There are some compatible magnetic cables with a special swivel head which do the LED positioning right, but reviews say they are fragile, which I can certainly believe by looking at the mechanism.
