Strong wifi link
Used to connect to ASIAir Plus (a telescope-mounted micro controller) rj48 interface and link to outdoor access point, providing a much stronger, more reliable and longer range wifi link than the somewhat problematic ASIAir's own in-built wifi. Powered via a USB straight from telescope's power pack. Power consumption is generally much lower than it's rated 2A.

Excellent range
I brought this extender to actually use in fishing as a wifi extender for a sonar. Very easy to setup and has extended the range from around 80m to 150m. As a wifi router I expect it would be great within a home

Ideal for remote DVR
Works well with a remote DVR I have to integrate into a home wifi network. Range is better than the cheaper option and reliability good so far

Cringeworthy user-interface, what an absolute joke!
The web interface to configure these is a mess. Did the manufacturer even test the firmware themselves? Filled with bugs.AND they have taken the only ability there was to replace the terrible firmware with the open-source community supported firmware OpenWRT. WHY???? Even TpLink doesn't do that to its products.1) If you're looking for good bug-free firmware, look elsewhere.2) If you're looking for devices with no backdoors, this isn't it, though the one backdoor we know of via the superuser can be fixed by logging in as said user and changing the password.3) If you're looking for the ability to expand the device further for lab or industrial use via OpenWRT, look elsewhere.A wasted couple of hours. It is an ok device for very basic wifi integration, but it is most definitely not even comparable to the GL.iNet devices, at least they allow you to further enhance their devices via the installation of OpenWRT, however Vonets is pre-disposed into locking you into a terrible firmware of their own.As a hardware device it is built well, great radio range, at only 1.5watts not bad for energy, but without the right software built-in makes this device rather hard to stomach at the going price, GL.iNet devices are a much better offering. If they return the ability to install OpenWRT, or even go as far as how GL.iNet actually offer a one-click upgrade to OpenWRT within their own web-interface, then that will expand the market for Vonets greatly. In its current form, I have no choice but to give it just 1 star.

Awful
I have returned my device due to 2 things- it was constantly loosing WiFi even after recommended upgrade- it would not pickup certain WiFi networks (2.4 version) even with larger antenna connected to it while my phone did. Don't get me wrong it was picking up around 50-60 extra WiFi around but not the ones I wanted.Interface is awful, laggy, problems to connect not worth my time
