Highly Recommend
This workbook met all my expectations. Really good at keeping your youngsters from forgetting what they were taught when you go on vacation or school breaks. Or teaching a young child about what is coming next. I highly recommend.

Great for summer
I bought this for my daughter for summer enhancement. It has been great. It's a review of skills and also challenging them with new concepts. Not just math but reading comprehension which is awesome. Would highly recommend to keep kids engaged over the summer and not on their devices all day.

No color in book at all.
I like that there's additional online content for the book and that the creators of the book have tried enticing kids to use them by offering various prizes to win weekly. I like that they offer a 6th to 7th summer bridge. I usually go with brain quest but they stop their summer ones at 5th to 6th.I don't like that there isn't any color in this book at all. Everything is black and white. I don't like that if you have more than one child and want to register them both with their own separate books you have to get in contact with customer support to add an additional child to your account.Overall, for the price I think it should be a good summer bridge.

It a really good book and ASL a plus.
This is a really good book for homeschooling. The section that me and my kids love the most is the part that teaches American Sign Language. I am learning and teaching them letters. The letters are the hardest but the numbers are very easy especially from 1 to ten. I loved teaching them to ask for " food, more, drink, please, thank you" I am learning colors and trying to teach them that as well. It's a good book if you have good student who will listen to you.

Excellent summer workbook
With the current uncertain times and the lack of learning with e-learning, I felt it was necessary to purchase a book to provide some additional summer practice for my child. She is an avid reader and found the book well organized. She was able to use the online component as well for additional practice. If you feel the need to support your child with summer practice, this is an affordable method to do so.

Boring, colorless, lacks appeal
MehI purchased this book because Brain Quest doesn't have a summer edition for 7th grade+. Needless to say, we were quite disappointed. We've also used Summer Bridge in the past and had settled on Brain Quest for it's quick, approachable, colorful lessons with the ability to track our progress in the back of the book. It's hard to get a Middle Schooler excited about continuing Ed in the summer. It's even harder when there is no color or interest drawing the student into the book at all. It's harder yet when a very simple word (diary is spelled dairy) is spelled wrong on the first page. The lessons are labeled by week and day instead of level and lesson (level one, lesson 1 in others this one is Week one, day 1). The reading selections are also repeated on several days. We'd rather read it once and answer several questions than read it 4 times and answer one word or phrase questions each time, waste of paper. It lost her interest within seconds. In her opinion "It looks like a standardized test for the whole entire summer". She'd rather do a large Brain Quest book than spend the summer trying to get interested in this one.

Great Summer Resource
I like that the book is divided up into weeks and days. I especially like that each day contains both math and reading. The content for each day is also related to each other, especially for the math. The only drawback I’ve noticed so far is that some of the content is repeated from another Lumos book I purchased. My students got those questions correct very quickly. I am not sure it’s because they understood the material or because they’ve seen the passage and questions before. Overall, I think the book is a great resource. The content is divided into manageable chunks and covers relevant topics.
