For the price this is an excellent knife
I received my order promptly, (2 days). The blade is sharp enough to shave with. The bright orange handle isn't pretty, but I didn't buy it to be pretty. The construction seems very sturdy. I can't wait to use this knife. I've got a bunch of Mango root stock seedlings ready and waiting to be grafted. I'm glad I went with this product and not one of the more expensive knives. Usually you get what you paid for, but I feel like I got more with this product.

Works okay, loose blade may be a bit dangerous
I bought this hoping it would make grafting easier. The idea is good. Blade on one side, bark lifter on the back side. In use however, the blade doesn't lock, and is constantly moving, especially if you try to use the back side. I nicked my fingers, and if I hadn't been using extra caution due to the loose blade, I might have been cut deeply. The blade isn't as sharp as others I've used. I could barely cut the buds from a lemon branch, which should be easy with a brand new blade. I'll probably use the serrated blade on my liner lock pocket knife next time. If you don't have a decent pocket knife, this inexpensive knife will be better than nothing. If you plan to do a lot of grafting, I'd go with something more substantial, and save some aggravation. I can see why people spend a lot more money on grafting knives.

Good knife but not SK5 blade
stainless 440A blade instead of listed carbon SK5. it's not good due to gardening carbon steel is preferred. Construction overall is Ok. Quality is also Ok.

One of Amazon's lesser offerings
As a woodworker, woodturner, cook and backpacker, I have a high appreciation for quality knives that take and hold a sharp edge. As a new Master Gardener with an inviting greenhouse, I was lured by the Japanese steel come-on in the description and the dual edge pictured. I have some excellent Japanese saws, chisels and kitchen knives. This is, in my opinion, false ads and the knife basically junk. The first knife arrived with the top edge snapped off revealing a crystal like surface indicating poor metal treatment. A new one arrived quickly (Amazon's return service is excellent) but the top edge was not an edge but rather about a 1/16 to an 1/8 inch wide at its widest. Sharpening revealed a very soft steel and certainly not the Japanese knife quality they would like to imply with the description. I've used it a couple of times and it is basically junk--even at the price. I'd return it if I hadn't sharpened it. A Swiss knife would be much better for this use and easier to use. This has no case nor other means of hanging it other than folding it with a sharp edge exposed and putting in your pocket. We order a good deal through Amazon and have had a couple of bad products lately--something we didn't see in prior periods

Zenport K106 Grafting and Budding Folding Knife
After reading the other reviews here, I purchased this product considering myself forewarned. What I can say is this: The blade is stamped as being Japanese Stainless Steel. The rest of this product is cheaply made in taiwan. There IS an inexplicable metal ridge inside the handle that will damage the blade if you snap it back. If you return it to the handle gently, this is not a concern. All of this said, it IS a pretty decent quality blade, and I don't really care about the quality of the orange plastic handle so long as it holds the blade in place, which it does. This is an inexpensive grafting/budding knife, and though I feel it could be sold at a lower price, it will get the job done, and it's not so high quality that you would be worried about leaving it outside, or damaging it while working outside. It is plenty sharp for cutting buds and scion wood, and I'm quite contented with my purchase. If you want I high quality product, you should shell out the cash for it. If you're simply looking for something inexpensive and functional, this should work for you. Just be mindful about snapping the blade into the handle, because I can see how it could get damaged that way.My Overall Rating: Satisfactory, with room for improvement.

Excellent Tool
I bought this as an add on, and really like the little knife. It is compact, handy, and as is needed for the job, very sharp!
