The best self tanner I have tried!
This stuff is AMAZING and this is coming from someone who hasn't had the best experience with self tanners! It dries quickly, smells like a sugar cookie, looks amazing even on the fairest skin, (I was a ghost 👻 🤣) but the best part is it doesn't transfer to everything I touch! Just a couple things to keep in mind- It does take a few hours to set in so if you're looking for instant results this is not it. It also comes out white so it can be hard to see exactly where you're putting it but it's really hard to mess up and easy to apply. I do notice after dry down it has a faint smell, it's not awful and barely noticeable. It is usually gone after about an hr. Give it a try you won't be disappointed!

No smell, evened out my weird tan lines AND made me glow!
I had some stubborn bikini line tan, sock tan, and a full-on farmer’s tan situation from earlier in the spring, and this mousse totally evened everything out AND gave me a deeper, natural-looking glow. I was worried about it transferring to my super white bedsheets but nope – nothing. It also held up through a full exfoliating scrub in the shower, which honestly shocked me. Bonus points: no gross chemical smell (it actually smells pretty clean!), and my skin felt so much softer and more hydrated even before I put on lotion. Super happy with this one!

Really like it
Absolutely love the color from this and the clean ingredients compared to my previous self tanner I used. I used to use Bondi Sands and honestly liked it but with the ingredients I wanted something cleaner. So the only tougher thing with this one is you can’t see it when applying to make sure you got it all but I just really make sure to rub over good. I’ve only used on my legs so far and it was great and leaves no stains on my towels or sheets. My knees and feet sat orangey or anything. I put it on at night before bed and I went from ghost white to a nice noticeable light tan. I used the fair to medium and I am on day 3 and it’s still holding on and I won’t reapply yet.

My test (light vs dark)
Only four stars because I haven't used it heavily yet. When I ordered this one I also ordered the light colored one because I wanted to test them out to see which would be better for my skin color. I did two test applications on my arm and by the next day there was absolutely nothing So then I went ahead and put a dollop more of each on the spots where I would do the testing and I waited and the next day still nothing. I decided to try something and so I not only shook the product but then I pressed the dispenser two or three times till the foam was ejecting in a consistent manner so there was not this watery action behind it. I then applied some of the fourth pump to those spots. By the next morning I had absolutely perfect examples of the color! So then I wanted to see how badly I needed to exfoliate before I put the stuff on and I sampled it on part of my leg to see. I used the same method I had before where I shake it up and then pump it like three times until it became nothing but the foamy mousse and I put that on my leg in one application and boom, the next day I had color! I have been spending my time washing these spots with soap to see how they come off.I am pale. There's a problem when you're too pale, your skin almost looks gray or translucent. It's just yucky. I wanted to put a little bit of color behind it without putting too much? You know? So I bought both colors of the light/ medium and the medium/ dark. Well, in my sampling on my skin, the medium/ dark ended up looking almost orange. It was tinged with orange. The light/ medium was not. It was more cool toned. They were somewhat comparable in deapth of color.I would probably end up choosing the light one and if necessary I would do a couple of layers. I really, really, really think that I found the secret to this stuff that it needs to be expressed from the pump and the first like two pumps or something, discarded, and then the next stuff is just fine. (This was actually something I learned about when I was coloring my hair!)The photograph shows both the light/ medium sample and the medium dark sample after a couple of days of washing it with soap. The sample closer to my wrist is the medium/ dark. The sample closer to my inner elbow, is the light/ medium. The second photo was my calf leg and it was the darker color. I wanted to see about the intensity if it's put on thick or put on thin.I was definitely disappointed with it in the first two days, but I am now definitely not disappointed! Oh and the smell? Actually to me it smelled like vanilla baked goods. Isn't that interesting? Some people report that it doesn't smell good but to me it smelt like vanilla baked goods. You have to shake it and express the first pump or two.

Great color, intermediate application
For those who want to look sun-kissed and not like snookie, this fake tan is the one for you! No orange at all no weird green undertones, just a great tan colorIt goes on clear so results will take hours (I usually wait overnight) to see and it can be easier to miss spots, but that’s easy enough to touch up the next day. When getting out of the shower be sure to PAT yourself dry.The color is pretty strong for about a week and then will need to be reapplied (still looks nice but not as deep)

Major Flaw Alert!
So here’s the thing… this is a good self tanner, especially if you’re trying to stick with clean ingredients. However, it has one major flaw. I consider myself a self-tanning master. I worked in a spray tan salon for years and have also been using tanning foam both with and without visible immediate color for years. I’ve noticed in other reviews, people say that they don’t have any color appear after washing it off and I know why that is. I don’t know why this happens, but for some reason, there is a separation of the foam and the actual DHA (what makes you tan) in the bottle. You can shake the bottle VIGOROUSLY to hopefully combine it as much as possible, but because it goes on nearly clear, it’s hard to tell if it’s combined or not when pumping out the foam. If you look closely, you can see a slight brown/orange tint to the foam that contains the DHA, but if it’s pure white, you’re not getting any actual tan in the pump you just pumped out. I’ve attached an image of both of my hands that I made absolutely SURE to coat perfectly evenly.. My left one got much darker than my right. And it’s because I could see the slight tint in the foam when applying it to the left hand, but only white pumps came out on the right. So, use with caution. Brownie points for clean ingredients, but if you want a streak-free, even tan, and don’t mind the chemicals used in other fake tans, definitely go with Bondi Sands. They have a PHENOMENAL self tanning foam. I do have olive skin, however, and Bondi Sands is on the greener side, so make sure you know your skin’s undertone before deciding on a self tanner.
