Philips Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottles Clear, 4oz, 3 Piece

If you are a first-time parent and pulling your hair out trying to find the best baby bottle then look no further. These were the perfect size and shape for us. The short, wider design is the perfect balance when holding in you hand and they are very durable. I use the Sanitize function on my dishwasher and they last with no leaks, cracks, or any other defect. Paired with the natural soft low-flow nipple, my wife and child could not be happier.

If you are going with plastic bottles, these are a great value. I like how they are compatible with two styles of nipples in many sizes. Very little leakage, but we do keep them upright in the diaper bag (filled with water, to mix formula in later).

I purchased this bottles for my 2 months old. I was using dr. Brown bottles but they have many small parts and they are hard to clean. My daughter was facing colic issue almost every other day. I also noticed dr. Brown bottles leaked a lot. If you hold them up side down, you can see milk dipping and its quite a lot. So in the night when she is sleepy and holding the bottle just in the mouth, it pours quite a bit of milk which I dislike. This bottles are easy to clean, they have just 4 parts, bottle ring nipple and the cap. After using only this bottles I saw some improvement in my daughter’s colic issue. Also they do not leak. Ifyou hold these bottles up side down you will see very minimal milk dipping. I’ve replaced all my bottles with these. As other reviewers said, I was little skeptical about the nipple flow issue but my daughter is able to handle the flow quite well. It is highly recommended.

These bottles just don't work for us. They are not the same as the Avent Natural wide neck bottles, which my baby accepts. These have a taller base and longer nipple which my baby will only chew on. I don't recommend these for exclusively breastfed babies unless your baby is used to taking several types of bottles. There are better options for breastfed babies that make the transition to bottle feeding smoother. For a bottle fed baby, this bottle would seem to work much better. It's just too different than the breast for babies who primarily nurse.

We went through a few different brands, including the gimmicky Comotomo (which are ridiculous). In the end, we opted for the Avent bottles because you can actually tilt it up and get the milk to the head of the nipple while still keeping your baby inclined (reducing reflux). Super easy to wash, since you can pop the nipples inside-out and really get them clean.Only caveat: watch out when you start buying nipple replacements - they don't all fit. Make sure they are for the Avent Classic bottles.
