The rope is very smooth and strong, it is cotton so the ends need to be held together instead of melted, this rope comes with tape holding the ends together that works fairly well

I got tired of paying high prices for dog toys that my Labrador and Husky would shred in a couple of days.I ordered this cotton rope, cut it in about a 3 foot length, tied 2 knots on each end and a couple in the middle and made my own dog toy. My dogs love them and they have lasted for over a month so far. They are great for playing tug of war with the dogs. I think I can make about 7 or 8 toys for the same price as one toy at the pet store.

Needed to make temporary safety extra "railing" for a section of stairwell where there was none. Girlfriend is having shoulder surgery. Wanted something with a softer feel and some stretch. This worked perfectly. Might not be a good fit where higher strength is needed. It does unravel quickly when cut, so best to tape first where you plan to make a cut. Worked perfectly for my use!!
