Bought for normal household usage
Powerful, great for instant candle lighting on steroids, fire starting, burning trash, faster and efficient. Be careful these are not a toy. They are right. These are powerful. They are a torch consistency. I just love it. Give Therese too every camper, backpack, hooker, runner, triathalon competetor, boy scout, girl scout. Even if your going swimming, diving etc I suggest it be part of a wet suit. Wrap in a bag m waterproof baggie and keep it on you. If you get lost at sea in a raft, small boat or are floating. This will stay lit for hours. It can mean the difference between life and death. Don't waste fish raw. Use something in the boat to lot and cook the fish. Just like it if your alone floating So someone will see you. No flares, this beats nothing. I'm the woods find a clearing, build a triangle branch stack light it up. Someone stays in the fire towers all the time they will spot you. This has a1000 uses. It's waterproof to I think but be sure. I carry it in my purse. Get stranded in my car or submerged I can light s for so I can be sorted, it knock out a window since it's heavy duty. Im not a survivalist but I plan for what ifs. I saw this and the lightning went off. This can take the place off several tools. Just don't forget to fill it up!

VERY GOOD TORCH
The media could not be loaded. I definitely love this for 20 bucks!! Yes, it does need butane but it looks very good, it came with a little scuff/bubble but it's okay and very small, The flame is SOO BIG. I would definitely buy again.

Strong flame for a single jet lighter
I use it to light my cigars and the wife uses it to light the candles. Useful lighter that can have multiple use ages. Powerful enough to do the job. Have not yet refilled it with butane, so I will update on longevity og it fuel capacity. The safety button is a good feature to prevent kids from harming themselves.

Nice torch, but a couple of small issues
I had the carbon fiber variant of this before I finally lost it recently and bought the silver/wood version this time. Having had two now I can say the issues aren't just with my first one but with the design. First the good: Nice long flame, super hot. Light candles, fires, grills, and larger torches, melt metal, burn stuff. It's fun and useful. Reliable lighting, very rarely does it not light. Now the less great. Firstly it doesn't have a butane level window, so you have no way of knowing when it's about to be empty except when the flame no longer reaches several inches out and starts slowly shrinking. Would be nice to have a small level window. Secondly the fill port is seemingly not well designed. I've had dozens of different refillable butane torches and lighters and they are all pretty much the same, however on this torch in particular the fill port seems to leak a lot. The same butane can style I've used for all of them, with this one it does not seal properly and when the tank gets full it starts spraying liquid butane everywhere. Never had a fill port behave this way besides this one. Very odd and I think it could be better. Thirdly as the torch ages the adjustment slider seems to get sticky or something. On my brand new one you could set it anywhere in the range and it would stay there just fine, but on my older one over time it got to the point where when you'd set it at a very low setting, it moves back to a higher setting by itself as soon as you go to use the torch. Very odd.Overall a nice torch and for $18, meh. It's well worth the money and very handy to have. But these issues I do find annoying at times.

Review
Works great for my crème brûlée

Don't buy this
This thing works great the first time I filled it up. Then it won't let you fill it up again without shooting the butane everywhere all over the lighter all over your hands all over the floor. It literally goes everywhere except where it's supposed to. Because the lighter still doesn't have butane in it. I even got a second can of butane thinking it was something I did. Nope same thing with that as well. Do not buy this. I wish I didn't. Piece of trash.

gonna order (at least) a couple of more
first-i hate being rushed to do a review and haven't even gotten product out of it's package yet and should be simple enough to program a computer to ask for a review 7-10 days after delivery.getting that said....middle of November when I got lighter (2) I have not experienced flickering or blow torch effect (except when I hit the adjustment by mistake) I have used it in different adjustments and worked better than I expected w/o blow torch affect afterwards. I think ppl need to follow directions and not use right after refilling lighter. it does use up a can quick if you turn it down you'll notice a difference, won't use it up as fast. I would like to have had a tank view/gauge (large enough for dash gauge like in your car!) not experienced leaking. reason I ordered 2, good price for what I read about lighter. have given other lighter away and will get a couple more, for another friend and the extra one I wanted to begin with. I will update my review if needed or if friends experience anything w/theirs. great product. happy with mine and will/would order again.**UPDATE** 7/27/2024 **not experienced some of the problems others have. both lighters still working fine...the one problem experienced was "blow torch" lighting. that was from over filling, thinking a lighter this size would have larger tank, fills as quick or quicker than a regular butane. only improvement I would suggest is visual level

Flame shoots high
Bought this to go with my mini solo stove Mesa to get the fire started. The flame shoots about a foot off the torch. Exactly what I was Looking for. When lighting something and pointing down the flame usually turns back up toward your hand. To with this. Excellent product
